Serre-Chevalier - France

One of my favourites and very underrated I think! Serre Chevalier consists of 4 resorts along the valley - Monetier, Villeneuve, Chantemerle and Briancon. We have stayed in all except Monetier but Villeneuve and Chantemerle are the most central. The southern Alp's have a different vibe compared to the more northern resorts, they are generally cheaper, not as busy and a bit more French and laid back. With good snow the open bowls at the top are great fun. It's got some fast pistes like the Luc Alphand Olympic black run ! a proper leg burner.
