... lined runs, with several good snow parks to try and defy gravity. Quite a big ski area and you can spend an entire day skiing all the way from one end of the resort and back again. This area has lots of charm and character with a cute little old vill...more

One of my favourites and very underrated I think! Serre Chevalier consists of 4 resorts along the valley - Monetier, Villeneuve, Chantemerle and Briancon. We have stayed in all except Monetier but Villeneuve and Chantemerle are the most central. The southern Alp's have a different vibe compared to the more northern resorts, they are generally cheaper, not as busy and a bit more French and laid back.
