I seldom took a break for lunch so as to keep skiing. In the last five years or so, we, as a family, have made annual pilgrimages to ski resorts for our winter holiday. We've been to Canada, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Austria so it seems somewhat strange that I found our most recent destination, Andorra a small place somewhere near France to be by far our best holiday. Due to varying experience and ability (my mother and sister didn't come on the first couple of trips and they are by no means accomplished skiers) we decide we would split into two groups. Fantastic place for beginners with brilliant ski school and gentle slopes with stunning scenery. My partner and I flew in to Toulouse and caught a transfer coach to the resort. This was my first ski trip and although bad weather resulted in a small avalanche onto the piste (in which nobody was hurt, to my knowledge) and in which one day of skiing was cancelled, I had a fantastic time. Andorra is a beautiful place and a Tax-Free haven, so the ski gear tends to be a lot cheaper than in the UK. I would definitely recommend Arinsal for the buzzing night life and tuition on the slopes, but for the more advanced skier, it's probably a ...
