Advantages: Large, Great Views, Loads of runs

Disadvantages: Not great for beginners, Quite expensive, Queues can be quite long at high-season

Having returned from St Anton yesterday, I desperately wanted to share my experiences with you.

St Anton is a hip, vibrant, and beautifully Alpine village, where, both the young and old feel comfortable.

The skiing is challenging, yet satisfying, though, not a place for beginners!

I recommend beginners take the 40min bus ride to the nearby resort of Lech, for long wide open runs perfect for the less experienced skier. The pistes here are a lot less crowded than in St Anton too, with the queues for lifts almost halved.

The views from both the Galzig and Rendl mountain lift stations are breath-taking, a sensational view across the Alps and it's valleys.

I highly recommend a hot chocolate or Gluwein at the "Pizza & Pasta" self-service restaurant at the top of the Galzig cable car, the best I have ever tasted!! Plus the views over St Anton and Nasserein are to die for.

I stayed at The Montjola just outside the village centre. I strongly advise you to, at least have a meal there, if not stay there. The food is phenomenal!

The night life in St Anton varies from quiet, traditional bars to the noisey, crowded, but fun night-club bars such as "bar-cuba".

St Anton is a place to Ski, board, people watch, and party.

A must for any snow-lover and party lover alike!!!
