Advantages: Smells amazing, pretty tin, glossy lips, quite long lasting

Disadvantages: Get messy fingers when applying!

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada is a Spanish designer known for her bold colours and prints and tends to sell clothing for men, women and children. However, she has released a range of lipbalms for which she designed the tins for. The tins are all in bright colours, such as pink, blue orange and purple, and have big bold prints and shapes, in keeping with her trademark design.

These lipbalms come in many flavours including cherry, papaya, tutti frutti, passion fruit and raspberry and each has a very strong and distinctive scent. This is in line with the whole designer theme, big and bold. The scent hits you as soon as you open the tin- whenever I used to apply the lipbalms in the office, everyone would know what I was doing! My favourite scent would have to be the cherry but all of the flavours smell really really nice.

The lipbalms themselves are fairly typical of tinned balm. Usually I prefer to apply lipbalm as a stick, however these do combine somewhat as a gloss. If you apply librally to your lips they give them a really nice subtle shine. The balms do come in different colours, (for example the passion fruit is blue!!) however this does not show once the balm is on your lips. They have quite a gooey consistency, which is what gives the shine once you have applied.

The lipbalms do not promote any lip healing qualities like some other lipbalms on the market as you are paying for the fun design and the distinctive scent. I often get told how people now associate the smell of the lipbalm I am using (currently the papaya flavour) with me. However, they do soften your lips, especially over the winter months when chaping is common. They also last for a fair while once applied, longer than the average lipbalm would.

Also, these lipbalms are great because of the bright design on the tin, they are easy to find in a handbag!!!

An individual lip balm sells for around £4 per tin, however you can buy the multipack (which contains 5 flavours) for around £15. They are not too commonly available on the high street though, so may take some looking for!!

Overall I would say these balms are not to be taken as a serous "medical" lipbalm, however if you want something that smells nice and looks good, these are great for you.

Summary: Fun, Cute and Girly
