Advantages: Affordable, over 90% natural ingrediants, pretty packaging, oil free
Disadvantages: Only available at Boots or online
I heard about this product after reading an article online and after hearing it was oil free and that it it designed for teenage skin (im 23 but have oily skin) I decided it was worth a try. It can be found either online at the website www.amieskincare.com allong with the other products in the range, or it can be picked up from boots for £3.99 for a 75ml tube. This is much cheaper than my usual brand for which I usually pay £4.99 for 50ml of the product.
The packaging is pretty and the product is a pale yellow which can be seen through the clear packaging. The brand name is Amie and this is written on the tube in pale blue girly writing. The product is called morning dew and promises "the softest, dewiest shine free skin"
As the product description on the website states "Morning Dew is a really light daily moisturiser that's totally mineral oil-free and parabens-free. Quickly and easily absorbed into the skin, it gives skin all the hydration it needs while controlling shine and leaving a smooth, matte finish that's a perfect base for make-up or facing the day or night 'au naturel"
It also claims, and rightly so that even if you have greasy skin you still need to moisturise your skin to keep it soft and supple.
As this range is designed for young skin it is also ideal for problem skin, and although the product is designed for teenagers the packaging does not look childish and looks pretty on the bathroom shelf, or in my case on my dressing table.
I am on a bit of a lush product kick at the moment and am now on the lookout for products containing natural ingrediants, the morning dew moisturiser contains 90.8% natural ingredients, which made this an even more tempting offer to me.
Upon using the product you are greeted with a very faint but clean smell, which is almost sweet. The fragrance does not linger on the skin after use, but I have found this is the case with most facial moisturisers.
The product is not thick but at the same time not runny, it is easy to squeeze a small amount out of the tube onto finger tips and spread it over your face, you only need a tiny amount, so this product will last for ages.
I used this product after my lush tea tree water toner and imediately after using the moisturiser my skin felt fresk and cool. I also noticed that my ski imediately felt matte and was not greasy at all.
I have been using this product morning and night and have found that it leaves my skin matte and fresh and this feeling lasts all day. It does not feel greasy to the touch in the slightest and this feeling lasts for at least six hours. My sin feels soft and smooth and supple after using this and even my other half noticed the difference.
I am looking forward to trying more of the products from this line and if they are as good as this moisturiser then they are set to be a very successfull range. I am giving this four stars as the only let down is that the range is only available online or in Boots stores which might make is difficult for some people to obtain.
Summary: Looks set to be a very successfull range
