Advantages: not expensive, pretty packaging!!, cleanses well and doesn't appear to dry skin

Disadvantages: Not very fragranced

This is a facial wash that is aimed at teenagers and on the bottle it says Purely for young skin. However I'm 30, loved the look of the packaging and the fact that it didn't sound like it would be harsh in anyway and so bought it. I got mine form Waitrose for £4.95 for 150ml. This is actually more than I would usually spend on facewash - normally spend a couple of quid on a supermarket or Boot's on brand but I figured maybe I should actually start treating my skin a bit more kindly so this sounded nice.

The facial wash is free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, GMO or animal extracts. Now ok I don't know what half of those are but at least it sounded like it was a fairly natural product and not full of chemicals that might irriate or dry the skin.

The fragrance is orange blossom, elderflower, mayblossom and raspberry. However I would say it is only very lightly fragranced and it just has a pleasant mildly fruity/ floral smell.

The facial wash itself is pale pink and when you squeeze it out of the bottle it comes out quite slowly, is quite thick and actually looks more like a moisturiser in my opinion! In fact when i squeezed some out the first time I had to check the bottle again to make sure I hadn't picked up a moisturiser by mistake. I think this may be because it is soap free that it has this texture. When you massage it into your face it does not foam up at all but I think that is quite nice too as you don't get bubbles in your eyes!

It was easy to rinse off under the shower which is where i always cleanse my face. Afterwards I could actually notice a difference, my face felt refreshed , clean and soft. My skin was not dry afterwards which is sometimes what happens on my forehead after using other facial washes.

I would recommend this facial wash - it is simple, soap free, ph balanced and is a great everyday cleanser whether you are 14 or 40 I would say.
