Advantages: A NON-IRRITATING EMOLLIENT AID FOR DRY, SORE, IRRITATED SKIN CONDITIONS

Disadvantages: A TAD SLIMY TO TOUCH...A SMALL PRICE TO PAY!

Aqueous cream is another one of those emulsifying gems I hadn't heard about until the last few years - despite suffering with varying degrees of eczema throughout most of my life. It would seem the medical profession was conspiring against me withholding all these useful skin-soothing ointments - the little tinkers!

I was suffering quite badly when using pretty much any type of soap product in, shall we just say, a rather delicate area!

As we dermatological sufferers tend to do, I had tried lots of different fragrance-free, hypoallergenic products on the market, particularly non-perfumed soaps and liquid washes.
However, even the gentlest of lathers still exacerbated that most sensitive of parts.

Itching, reddened, irritated skin drove me to distraction and then eventually to my GP's, where said doctor calmly prescribed something called 'Aqueous cream' - explaining it can be used even on the most sensitive of external regions.

Consisting of white soft and liquid paraffins', along with emulsifying wax, phenoxyethanol and purified water, it is a white quite thick in consistency cream, and odourless also.

Prescribed a whopping 500gram tub bi-monthly (although it can be bought in much smaller amounts too, depending on your usage), I gave my new shower-time cleanser a go - admittedly quite sceptical at what this rather innocuous-looking concoction could do for me.

Now it did take several days to have any impact on the soreness of aforementioned area, but I became amazed as time ticked by at how my poor, irritated skin calmed down. The aqueous emollient became my new bath-time best friend; and as each pot ran out a new one was duly placed next to the bath, to faithfully reside there forevermore (well, at least until it ran out...then it was quickly replaced!).

Endorsing this product is no problem at all as it is something I use every single day; and using it has made a different to my life by increasing the comfort of my sensitive skin.

In fact for the few pounds it costs in the shops if, like me, you have to endure easily irritated skin, why not give it a go for yourself and see?

I've never looked back since I started to use it, honestly!

Summary: A GREAT, INEXPENSIVE AID IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ECZEMA, SORE SKINS AND EVERYDAY IRRITANTS.

My health visitor prescribed this for my son when he was 6 weeks old. He had eczema all over his body poor toot and it would blister and burst. Thankfully now we know what causes it, it is nowhere near so bad but I still swear by this cream and cover him in it after his bath.
