Advantages: fast hydration

Disadvantages: none

I've already written an opinion on Aqueous cream, elsewhere on this site, but thought I'd add something to this area.

Aqueous cream tends to be prescribed by a doctor for eczema in a small child and, when picked up from the chemist, comes in a huge tub. My little boy uses it on and off, when his skin needs hydrating but I also use it in the evenings to improve my own skin. It's a wonderful cream, but only if used consistently. It is available on prescription if you/your children have a skin complaint and if you are struggling with a dry skin condition in your child, I would "demand" it from your GP, as it seems that you get better results by self-diagnosing problems.

Aqueous is probably available over the counter as there is nothing worrying in it's formula, so if you can't bear to go to your GP, ask your chemist.

It's great stuff, isn't it? It's the only thing (apart from 1% hydrocortisone) that clears up my baby's eczema.
