Aqueous cream is a product that I used all through out my child hood and teenage years when I used to have bad burning eczema patches on my face, nowadays it is sensitive and dry but the eczema has left my face for now. It comes in huge plastic tubs with screw on lids, and is a white skin moisturising cream used in flare ups and dry ... Read the complete review

Now there are over 40 reviews on this 'miracle' cream but I wanted to tell you my thoughts and experiences of using this too, so here goes.. Okay, firstly I just need to say I have awkward skin that sometimes likes to be spotty or extremely dry, and can be sensitive - it has a mind of it's own I'm convinced, but on the 'dry' days I ... My husband has a form of excema around his eyes and nose which he has been told is due to years working in the printing machinery trade and all the strong substances involved. His doctor recommended aqueous cream a couple of years ago. You can buy a 500g tub from Boots pharmacy counter at just under £4.00. A smaller, toothpaste sized ... Read the complete review

If you are lucky enough to be one of those people who have never suffered from dry skin, eczema or dermatitis then you don't know how lucky your are. I suffered from dermatitis on my hands many, many years ago which was a reaction from printing ink on a photocopier and also the Windolene that used to be a pink creme in a bottle years ago. This can ... Read the complete review

About two years ago I woke up one morning with a rash on my jaw and neck. My skin had become red, raised and dry and so my first port of call was my doctor. Believing the problem to be eczema, I was given a hydrocortisone cream, but after a few weeks, whilst the rash had mostly gone down, in its place were many small spots and the surrounding skin ... Aqueous cream is another one of those emulsifying gems I hadn't heard about until the last few years - despite suffering with varying degrees of eczema throughout most of my life. It would seem the medical profession was conspiring against me withholding all these useful skin-soothing ointments - the little tinkers! I was suffering ... Read the complete review

Recently, due to the weather, I've had terrible cracked skin on my elbows, hands and knees. I often get this but this time it's so bad it's started to bleed and if my clothes touch the areas it's very sore. I tried my usual methods of Calendula Cream and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream but the areas are too far gone for either of them to help ... Read the complete review

Aqueous Cream can be used as a cream/ emollient or as a cleansing agent for the bath or washing your face. It is a fairly good moisturiser for dry skin, not the best but I know a lot of people that are happy with it. This product comes very cheap and I have seen a tub of 500g for £1.75 in my local pharmacy. It contains Cetostearyl ... Read the complete review

Aqueous cream has many uses and I have used it for myself and my family for years. It is very economical and costs around £1.70 for a 500g tub and easily obtainable from your local chemist. Bigger stores sell it such as boots but it is much more expensive and comes in smaller sizes. It can be used on both adults and children. It's ... Read the complete review

This stuff is marvelous - I first came a cxross it when a friend recommended it to me years ago She had problem skin and had been to the doctor who recommended that she use this as a face wash. We both thought this was pretty weird but it did the job and soothed her skin nicely. So that was where it started for me, but I now use it on ... Read the complete review

I've just found out aqueous cream contains sodium lauryl sulphate. That's quite irritant. How can a moisturiser contain detergent? No wonder my little boy's eczema wasn't getting any better.

Whilst admiring the sun tans and glorious sandals at school recently I overheard a teacher complain about sun burn. Over coffee she admired the glances from fellow colleagues as she showed off the tan she had collected on the rocks at the sea front on the weekend back, but when she turned her face sideways, she winced the moment she lifted her ... Aqueous cream is in my opinion an effective emollient used to treat dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It can be used as a soap substitute, or after bathing as a moisturiser and between washing, as often as necessary. An emollient is designed to reduce water loss from the skin by covering it with a protective film. The only problem ... Read the complete review

Hello All ! I cannot praise aqueous cream enough .... Having got to the ripe old age of 37 and been pretty lucky with my skin despite not looking after it properly, I decided to invest in some 'premium' skincare products. I think aqueous cream has been around for longer than me, as I'm pretty sure I was prescribed it as a child. However I re-discovered it when (a few years ago) I developed an awful problem with the skin around my eyes and the GP prescribed Aqueous Cream, and sadly I found this stuff was not at all effective. First - this stuff burned my ... Read the complete review
