A couple of years ago, I discovered the wonderful powers of Aveeno Cream when a friend who suffers from severe Eczema gave me some to try. I don't suffer from eczema, but one of the side effects of my general ill health is very dry skin on my face and torso, which can get really uncomfortable. On this occasion I had forgotten to pack my normal E45 cream, so after being assured that it wasn't eczema specific and didn't have any nasty steroids or other drugs in it, I gave it a whirl. Within a couple of days I couldn't detect the dry patches the E45 cream had been barely keeping under control for years. I was then pleased to discover that, although you can ... It's still pretty cold still, even though there's a little bit of early spring sunshine peeping through the clouds now and then. This wind can be really biting and it plays havoc with the skin. I don't understand how it dries out my knees when I'm wearing trousers, but it does. It's what we call a 'thin wind' because it can squeeze in just about anywhere. After the winter we all need to pamper our skins a little bit to get them nice and plump and supple again. That's where this great product from Aveeno Skincare Solutions comes in. At first I didn't like look of it because the packaging isn't the usual 'in your face' look at me type. It's white ... Read the complete review

I have always suffered from dry skin but even more so over the past couple of years. I also seem to be allergic to loads of different types of moisturisers/shower creams etc and anything else that has a strong perfume in it (and yet I don't appear to be allergic to perfume - strange!). My dry skin was getting so bad that I went to the doctor and he told me I had eczema (I didn't realise you could all of a sudden just get it - I thought it was something you were born with!) Anyway, he prescribed me with 2 x Aveeno Moisturising Body Lotions in 400mls and told me that that would help. I was a bit sceptical but the cream did help clear up my eczema ... I first came across Aveeno, when it was recommended for eczema by one of the Sunday supplements. Unfortunately, all of my family are prone to eczema and dermatitis, including my babies, so I thought it was worth a try. Aveeno is actually part of the Johnson & Johnson family, and most of the products contain collodial oatmeal, which is known to have skin softening properties. The first product I tried was the hand cream, as with having two children, the amount of handwashing and washing up I do really dried out my hands, so much so that they were chapped and sore. The hand cream was around £4.99 from Waitrose, which also ... Read the complete review

I was fortunate enough to receive a full-sized 200ml tube of Aveeno a few months ago through a promotion they were running and I haven't looked back since. I see from other people's reviews that GPs often prescribe it to soothe eczema and I'm not surprised considering how effective it is. I suffer from very dry skin on my face and body with patches of eczema on my arms. My face has been a nightmare in the past with flaky, dry skin and I tried countless products to try and resolve it. The Aveeno product I use is Skin Relief Body Lotion. There are others in the Aveeno range but this is the one my review is based on. First of all, it's good to know ... Read the complete review
