I was lucky enough to win a tube of Avene's Hydrance Optimale Protective Hydrating Cream earlier this year. It's not a brand I have heard much about but I love to try new products, and when my normal moisturiser ran out I decided to try this. It generally retails for around £13. Packaging The moisturiser is packaged in a white tube, pretty plane, with black and orange writing along with a few graphics. There is very little about the cream on the tube, all we are told is that it contains SPF 15 and is made for sensitive skin. It also says that cream is rich in Avene thermal spring water. I had seen the Avene range in Boots many times, but knew little about it, other than it was slightly on the pricey side. I don't think it would have been a range I'd have gone out of my way to try, but I actually won a tube of their moisturiser from a competition in Glamour magazine, which is how I came to try the brand. This particular product is a moisturiser which is described as being a 'protective hydrating cream'. Having dry skin it's important for me to have a good moisturiser, and I was pleased to see that this one contains SPF15, as I've found it can be surprisingly difficult to find moisturisers with SPF.
