Avene Skin Recovery Cream

I am quite wary of face creams that promise to perform miracles on your skin. I also object to purchasing higher priced creams in the hope that they might be superior to cut-price brands. I was quite shocked when I was given some 'Avene Skin Recovery', especially formulated for sensitive and irritated skin, by a friend and later saw it's price. At approximately £11.95 it is very expensive for a 40ml sized bottle, which I consider to be small. Avene is produced by a French Company so the product is initially branded in this language. In my wisdom, when my usual face cream went up in price, again, I decided to seek out a new product. I settled for a product which guaranteed me an improvement in my skin, but reacted to it quite badly. My skin erupted into scales, with greasy patches, and incredibly dry patches which were sore. I love this stuff, but its been costing me 28 cdn from the drug store a week. thats just too much. I know its all about the 'spring water' and how much is in each of 'avene's products', so i've decided to give the TRIXERA emollient cream a try. Its huge, 200 ml, and will last me 6 months instead of one week. Its water is 50%, as opposed to the skin recovery cream' which is 67%, but thats still a good dose, and i honestly think thats the key in all of avene's products.
