... water comes from a spring in the South of France, with its own special spa which treats patients with medical skin condition. They are treated by specialist doctors on programs that last a few weeks including many different treatments using the spring water. The French take these sorts of "cures" very seriously, which suddenly makes this product look less expensive. I now use Avene water daily as a toner, to cool off at any time of day in the summer, and to rehydrate my skin in the summer....more

Premium Review Avene Thermal Spring Water Mist: Banish Skin Redness (369 words)

I have been using a number of the Avene products for about three weeks now and I have to say I am very impressed. I have the awful problem of combination skin with irritability and redness. Avene products, unlike any others I have found (and believe me I have tried everything, Gatineau, Elemis, Liz Earle, Molton Brown etc)give soothing qualities but also attack oily patches but without drying them out. Of course you have to get the right combination of products. I have used, the Rinse off Gentle gel cleanser which is much less drying than most and allows you to use water, which I know many prefer to tissue off cleanser. In addition, I am a great ...  Read the complete review

When I was given a free sample of this Avene Spring water spray in Paris I must admit I was skeptical, and put it on the shelf and ignored it. I do have sensitive skin, and it was a particularly dry winter which made my face dry and irritated, and really pretty uncomfortable. So one day I took the sample out, sprayed it onto my face and within a couple of minutes these was no further discomfort. All rather miraculous! I arrived in the UK last year from a hot sunny climate. I have combination sensitive skin and since moving has become unbearable with also living in a extreeme hard water area. when climbing out of the bath or shower my face is swolen, inflamed and red. After trying numerous well know brands (Dermalogica, Clarins, estee Lauder) they left my skin even worse in swolen red bumps and constant hot flushes on my facial skin. I had enough after almost 6 months chopping and changing brands so i deccided to visit a dermatologst. He gave me a couple of options one of them being Avene, So i went to my local Boots store and bought the Gentle Gel Cleaner for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review essential treat (186 words)

I love this particular product the most out of all the Avene range. At first I thought it would be an uneccessary unessential treat/waste of money... (after all it's only water innit?) Wrong! it's got tiny moisturizing qualities in it, so say for example you need to moisturise but not too much one day because your combination skin has turned a little greasy, you just spray a burst over your face and neck and that will do usually or maybe on a night I would follow it with a tiny bit of moisturiser and hey presto that tiny bit of moisturiser stretches a long long way! Also good to set make up, after applying make up, just spray a quick burst over your make up and ...  Read the complete review
