Advantages: hmmm, that is a hard one!

Disadvantages: How about everything??

I don't often buy Avon products as I don't tend to like them so when I recieve the catalogue I tend to quickly glance through, see the offers and then leave on the side til I need to hand in back.
However just the other day I spotted this in here for just a small price of £2 and always having dry skin, expecially in the winter and finding my favourite moisturiser in the Body Shop a bit heavy on the pocket, at £11 a time I thought what have you got to lose?
Apparently a lot...

What is it?
It is an Avon moisturiser that is from the name SOS you can tell if for very dry skin. It is a large tub of moisturiser and is the kind that is just loose in a pot and in know type of special container/ thin tube or dipenser.

The range:
There are a few products in the SOS dry skin range, but not too many, there are a few types of moisturisers in the range though. These include body ones, face ones and all over ones.

The price:
As I have previosly said mine was on offer for just £2, however the original price is £3.75, but I highly doubt you'll ever have to pay this as in Avon they always seem to have offers on, so if it isn't on offer in one catalogue it will be in the next!

Avaliability:
You obviously purchase these from Avon as it is there own product. You often order from your local Avon representative, although if there isn't one in your area you can make orders and purchases online.

Packaging/ container:
It is packed in a medium - large tub, which I think personally is very big for a face moisturiser tub, unfortunatley there is no kind of dispernser so you do just have to put your fingers into a massive pile of moisturiser!

My view:
I am really not to keen on this item.
Upon first opening I was very surprised by the thick and gloopy consisitency, which I personally don't like as I prefer them more free running and liquidy.
On applying it is very hard to rub in as it is very thick, because of this it seems very sticky once it is on and feels as if you are wearing a face mask! This also means that it doesn't soak into your skin aswell as other moisturisers, which leaves your skin greasy.
I don't like the container it is in as it leaves the sides of tub sticky and messy, and leaves your fingers and hands gloopy and greasy by the way you have to scoop it up with your hand!

As curing the dry skin with its 'SOS' formula, well I don't think much of this! It leaves your skin greasier before which then clogs up all your pores! My skin feels moisturised when it is on, but about an hour or so after once it has finally soaked up my skin feels almost as dry as it had done before!

Overall I would not reccomend this, unless you have more money then sense! It definitley isn't as SOS formula and qute bluntly is one if the worst moisturisers out there that you can pick!

Not worth the money!

Summary: Just don't go there!
