Advantages: Very cheap for a relatively huge pot
Disadvantages: Leaves skin very greasy and shiny
I bought this from Avon (you don't say!) last summer when it was on offer at half price, meaning I paid just £1.75 for 200ml. It normally sells for £3.50 for 200ml which is still extremely cheap for face cream.
I bought it because I was looking for a cheap holiday moisturiser and for less than £2 I figured it was worth a try.
It comes in a grass-green and sky-blue pot with a royal blue lid. The pot is made of plastic and it did not come boxed (but I wouldn't expect it to at that price!). The cream itself is mid-thickness and white in colour.
It contained botanical extracts and Vitamin E 'for smooth silky soft skin' (quoted from the pot). As you can see by the name it claims to give rich moisturisation. You apply it by rubbing it into your face and neck.
Well despite buying it last summer it is still sitting in my beauty box with not even a quarter gone. And that is not because it is super-economical and you only need to use a microscopic dot each time!
It smells a bit too chemical for my liking but that is not something that necesssarily would put me off if the product itself were fantastic.
Sadly, it is not. Of course, for £1.75 (or £3.50) you could hardly expect it to be all-singing all-dancing and I really did not have particularly high expectations of it. But no matter how small an amount you rub in, it leaves your face looking greasy and shiny.
It is OK to use overnight as it has soaked in by the morning, but what about the rest of the time? It left my face looking greasy throughout the day when I was on holiday and then I could not use it at all after my evening shower (before dinner) because I no longer had my hair pinned back and it made my side-swept fringe look at though it had been dipped in a deep-fat fryer just for lying on my forehead. Clearly this was no use to me at all...
I would not buy this again and will not even come close to finishing the pot. I am just glad its only a couple of pounds I wasted on it.
Summary: Probably not worth bothering with
