Advantages: Really deep cleanses, Helps to keep spots at bay
Disadvantages: None
Avon Clearskin is the best cleanser I have ever used and I can't say fairer than that, can I? It is a pale blue astringent liquid, which is made for use on sensitive skin. I just put a few drops on a cleansing pad and wipe my whole face and neck area, avoiding my eyes obviously. If I get some in my eyes by mistake I find that washing straight away with cold water soon puts things right again. On the rare occassions that I wear eye make up, I remove that with a specialist eye make up remover from Yves Rocher before using Clearskin. I find that the creamy cleansers tend to make my face feel very greasy, but with Avon Clearskin the result is fresh, clean skin, ready for the application of moisturiser. It is suitable for daily use and I tend to use it again during the day if I do any exercise as it removes the perspiration and any accumulated grime and leaves my skin feeling alive and glowing. Because it cleans right down into the pores it also helps to keep blackheads and general spots at bay too. That's great for me as I still get teenage spots - mind you I am 47!! It comes in two sizes 125ml and 250ml and costs about £2 and £3 respectively. My advice is to wait for the Avon special offers, which invariably come round on this type of product. I got three 250ml bottles for £5. And there we have one of the few cases where a short opinion says everything there is to say about the product - short of giving you a list of the chemical ingredients!

- 22/01/02 This sounds really good. I wondered whether it might adversely affect my skin, as I have dry & sensitive skin, but it sounds like it might be worth a try. |
