Advantages: Should soon appear in the clearance section, good results too.

Disadvantages: Does not dry all over evenly

The Clearskin Blemish Solver Mask is not presently available in the Avon brochure or on the Avon Shop website. That does not mean it is not a product worth considering though, as discontinued products nearly always represent the best value for money when they appear in the clearance section. They do not always appear in the customer's sale brochures unfortunately, but there is quite a good selection of clearance offers on the Avon Shop website and I think that is where you will find this.

I usually prefer the Planet Spa masks when I feel like giving my face a boost, however I did not have any left last night which is not like me! So instead I used some of this one, which my daughter usually uses. I had used it before but not for some time.

I cleaned my face thoroughly before use and then applied a thin layer of this mask all over, avoiding the eye and lip area as directed (as goes for most facial masks). This face mask is a thin, blue liquid that has a slight gel texture quality to it also. In fact it reminds me a little bit of gel toothpaste if I am honest, and the scent is not far off either!

The instructions did not give me a time indication of how long I should leave this on for which was a shame. I decided to just wait until I could feel it tighten on my skin, which indicated that it was dry. This was a good fifteen to twenty minutes after application.

Removing the mask was easy in most places, it simply peeled off in a thin, stretchy film. Unfortunately, other parts had not dried and had to be washed off. This is a little bit tricky to do because of the sticky gel-like texture. I ended up using my exfoliating mitt to be sure I had removed all traces of this product.

After use, my skin felt very clean and very soft to the touch. I was suprised at this as this is supposed to be a blemish solver, so I expected it to dry my skin out a little more than it did. I am fortunate not to have too many impurities in my skin, so it is hard for me to accurately judge the results of this mask. What I can say with certainty though is that it left my skin feeling clean and soft and looking visibly refreshed.

If you can snap this up in the clearance section for £1 to £2 for a tube (which contains around ten applications) then this is a bargain buy. It is not the easiest Avon face mask I have used and it is not the best either (I think the Japanese Sake & Rice one is), but it is certainly effective and relatively easy to use too.

Summary: One to look out for.
