Advantages: In the long term really improves the texture of your skin, Leaves it fresh and clean, Easy to apply and use
Disadvantages: Can be inconvenient to apply, requires 20 minutes, Feels strange
20 minutes it said on the back of the Tube. 20 minutes and then you can peel this thing off. I have been sitting here for 3 minutes ( I am clock watching) and already my face feels like it is being stretched in ten different directions. It actually feels really quite strange. I am yet to decide whether this is good or bad strange, does this feeling actuallypain me or just make me a little uncomfortable? What am I inflicting upon myself you may ask ( I am asking the very same thing!), and more to the point why? No pain no gain huh! I was given a tube of Avon Peel off face mask with grapefruit in my Christmas stocking (gee santa is sooooo thoughtful). It had been tossed aside whilst the choccies and dvd's were enjoyed. Now the festivities are over and well, I have all these resolutions to keep and looking after myself is one of them! Now the face mask has replaced the choccies and is currently squeezing the life out of my face, well stretching it out anyway. The Peel off face mask came in a simple enough 75ml tube. It was clear with a pretty pink gel inside. I liked the way you could see the bubbles inside the gel, that entertained me for a whole minute. I read the instructions first, like they tell you to. Only problem being I have good eyesight, but this small writing was even too much for me. It came in lots of different languages though. When I eventually found my magnifying glass the tube told me how this mask would cleanse my skin whilst improving the texture. I am quite good at cleansing and keeping my skin clean, but I was starting to get excited about the potential improvement in my skin texture. Don't get me wrong, I don't have bad skin as such, only I am still pursuing that flawless look! It also went on to tell me that it contained grapefruit because this is renowned for its cleansing and refreshing properties. Personally I don't like grapefruit, but at least I don't have to eat it. Yes, this product is not
for internal consumption and should be kept well away from the eyes as well. In addition this product is suitable for sensitive skins, which pleases me as mine can be a little temperamental! I started applying the gel, It was easy enough. It was thick and a little bit sticky. As soon as it was on my skin I could feel it drying and sticking to my face. Only minutes later my face was starting to feel all strange. It is now 15 minutes in and I am still clock watching. I can't help it as my skin feels so strange. It is tight and I cannot talk for a) fear or cracking the mask or b) doing myself an injury. 20 minutes and hurrah I can now take the mask off. I start by the neckline. It is a further strange feeling as my face feels like it is peeling off. Now I know how a snake feels when he sheds his skin! The mask came off in large peices, but then I was left with some stray bits which needed washing off. I am standing in the mirror looking at my face for any sign of difference. It feels clean and refreshed, I am pleased about that. However, intially I am not sure of any difference. I don't feel any worse for using it anyway which is a good sign and I found the whole peeling off thing quite interesting in a strange kind of way! ~~~1 Week On~~~ I have used this face mask 3 times this week. It wasn't too inobtrusive to my beauty regime either. I applied it whilst watching tv and no-body was any the wiser. Yes, the good thing about this face mask is that it is clear. So, if you had to answer the front door in it you would be ok. I mean you wouldn't look great, but better than having a bright blue face. Now that would be scary. I have noticed improvement in my skin though. It feels softer and has a bit of a glow to it. My skin feels looked after. Face masks have always scared me to be honest and seemed like a waste of time. The truth is I now don't think they are. You can find th
e time and they are not all that expensive. This product is about £2 and can be ordered via most Avon books. They usually have good special offers on the whole range as well. Face masks are definitely a good thing, but need using over a long term period to really see any major differences.
