... the original product except aimed at people with paler skin, like myself. Since this moisturiser costs a whopping £19.50, I didn't get around to trying it until my Birthday last November, when someone nice bought it for me. The packaging and appearance of the product is almost identical to that of You Rebel, except that its tube is the colour of pale skin rather than the original red colour. Both shades come in a metal tube which contains 50ml of moisturiser, and by squeezing these tube like a tube of toothpaste, yo...more

Premium Review Benefit You Rebel Lite: Pale and Pretty's Perfect Product (836 words)
by - written on 01/06/09 (Very useful, 144 readings)
Rating:

Despite their high prices and occasional dud products, I have always been a fan of Benefit Cosmetics. I have been using their mascara, eye shadow and eye liners for years without having to consider switching to another brand, and have also enjoyed using some of their other products. While some items such as their eye creams and lip plumper were a disappointment, one of my favourite products for years was their 'You rebel' tinted moisturiser. When I was at school, my skin never really had spots or anything in particular to cover (for which I am very grateful), and so there was never really need for me to wear foundation (although I did wear it for a while due to peer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Now even pasty girls can rebel! (775 words)

I do wear foundation occasionally but it often feels heavy and makes me feel quite self conscious. Not only that, but being very pale, I often find it quite difficult to find a colour to suit my skin tone. I had decided to treat myself to a few Benefit products and was seriously eyeing the You Rebel Lite. I had seen and read reviews on the regular You Rebel tinted moisturiser, but knew as it only came in one shade, that there was a likelihood it would be too dark on me. When I saw the You Rebel Lite, which is basically the same product, but for paler skin tones, I really wanted to try it. Even then though, I resisted the temptation to order one, as I wanted to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Benefit You Rebel Lite: Why Thank You Benefit, I Am A Bit Of A Rebel. (817 words)
by - written on 30/10/08 (Very useful, 150 readings)

Having been thoroughly disappointed at the original You Rebel (or "I Am Rebel" when my Mum parted with her cash for some years ago and let me have a go), I didn't really hold out much hope for You Rebel Lite. Never one to pass up a free go on some Benefit products though, I was easily convinced to give this a try on the back of my hand when I was out shopping recently. Gagging to spend some money on make-up (does anyone else get these urges I wonder?!), I decided that this would be a valuable addition to my 'dry face in the winter' survival kit and got myself some. You Rebel Lite is a lighter-coloured version of Benefit's You Rebel tinted ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review just about ok (217 words)

Benefit brought out 'You Rebel Light' about 2 years ago. It's a tinted moisturiser, similar to the original 'You Rebel' but this shade is much lighter, as the darker version doesn't suit everyone. The other difference between the light version and the original is that the light moisturiser doesn't feel oily on the skin. They've both got SPF 15 in them, to help protect against sun damage and other factors which can cause premature ageing. I find that the shade is quite close to my skin colour in winter, though I have to mix this and the darker one in between seasons and can then wear the darker one for summer. Whilst it's a nice ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Benefit You Rebel Lite: natural sheer coverage, ideal for pale skin (320 words)
by - written on 22/03/09 (Useful, 53 readings)

I have very pale skin and getting make-up to use as a base has always been a nightmare for me, they are invariably too orange, or if I am lucky enough to find one pale enough they are very "white" and I look like I have been dug up! However I am lucky that I have quite good skin and don't need a lot of coverage. I had previously used the benefit foundation faker that comes in a compact shaped like a record (name totally escapes me!) which was a good match but I found it ran out really quickly and begrudged spending the same amount again. I was explaining this at the benefit counter and the saleswoman advised me to try You Rebel Lite as it was new ...  Read the complete review
