Advantages: lovely subtle colour

Disadvantages: rather expensive

A rose petal coloured balm from Benefit, the makers of Benetint cheek stain. The balm version of Benetint is great for a subtle wash of colour over the lips, a less is more look definitely. The balm has moisturising Vitamin E in it and it also has an SPF of Factor 15 which is good for the summer, the combination of moisturisation and SPF coverage make up for the cost, £12.50 for this small 6ml pot is a little on the steep side, though it does last for a long time. I have had mine for a long time and its no where near empty yet. Its has a pleasant rose petal scent which smells lovely but doesn't taste that great, its not horrible but its not the most pleasant tasting product available! The packaging is great, all of benefits products are well packaged in funky retro designs and this is no different, a dinky little pot which looks great in your makeup bag or on a dressing table.
Definitely not a gloss and not a fix for cracked lips despite its moisturising nature, a subtle wash of colour which is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to look overly made up.
