I have always been a ‘wet’ shave man – right from being a teenager. My first razor was given to me by my grandfather in 1958 – a standard Gillette 'Safety Razor' and two packets of 5 'Gillette Blue' blades. I later found that Wilkinson Sword blades were a better option than the 'blued' Gillette blades and this type of system kept me going, on and off for a decade or more. I still have this razor, but never use it now since it did require a certain degree of skill to save myself from a legion of cuts. Indeed a 'styptic pencil' was a permanent feature of my part of the bathroom shelf at the Gee ... Read the complete review

Well even though we have had a bit of a hit and miss summer my legs still need to be smooth. I don't like waxing my legs so I am always trying different razors. I find that the razors that suit me best are Bic Sensitive Razors. I would say that they are one of the most effective disposable razors on the market. They are mens razors but for the price, ease of use and effectiveness you can't go wrong. If we are honest I am sure that us girls would admit to using mens razors in the past, obviously only in an emergency. I normally buy a pack of 20 from Boots for around £3 and they last me quite a while. Well worth the money and to be honest i'm not overly keen on ... Read the complete review

Unfortunately its that time of year, when legs need to be continually clean shaven with all the cropped trousers/skirts/shorts worn, that I have to reach for the disposable razors on an almost daily occurrence just to keep my legs hair free. I refuse to put a lot of money into expensive and fancy lady shaving razors, since although I shave underarm hair all year round, I really only use razors on my legs come the good weather, or when they start to resemble a forest in the winter time. This pack of ten bic disposable razors cost me £1 in Tesco, and they seem to last me quite a while. I always opt for the sensitive range in these to protect my ... Read the complete review

I keep trying other razors thinking that they will do a better job but I keep coming back the the Bic sensitive ones. I do have sensitive skin but I also have very fine body hair and fine regrowth so maybe this is why I find these really work for me. Other reviews on this product say they are not very good but I suppose it all depends on the type of hair that they are being used to cut - they don't have to work very hard with mine so that could be why I find them ok. I buy these razors because they are cheap - simple as that. I am a girl but I dislike paying extra for girly razors and really don't mind buying the men's ones if it saves me a few ... I have used Bic Disposable razors on and off for a number of years now. I do not rate them very highly but sometimes have to resort to them when I temporarily run out of blades for my usual wet shave razor, the Gillette GII Plus, or if I am staying with friends or relatives and forget to take my GII razor with me. The last time I bought a packet I paid £1 for a packet of 5 in a "Pound shop" but I have seen them priced a little higher than this elsewhere. Each razor is made of plastic and has a single metal blade in it. It is similar in design to standard design re-usable razors and therefore easy to grip with your hand and easy to place ...
