Advantages: The heat feels really nice and the product makes pores smaller and reduces spots.

Disadvantages: It's on the expensive side and at first feels like it's burning your face.

Product Information: The back of the box says the mask is supposed to “open up and intensively cleanse pores”. The thermal heat “purifies and refines your skin by absorbing excess oils and getting rid of pore-clogging dirt and dull, dead skin cells”. The product is dermatologist tested, hypo-allergenic, and non-comedogenic. One box contains 8 single use masks that are applied for one minute.

Packaging: The American box (I believe it may be different in the UK) is made of cardboard and is Biore’s standard green color. Inside, the mask is packaged in metal “pods”, which was pretty unexpected to me (I was expecting a bottle, rather than individually wrapped packages).

Price: It is a bit expensive, but, in my opinion, it’s well worth the price!

Application: In reading the “How to Use” section on the back of the box, it says you must wet face first (the mask heats in response to the water), apply mask, massage into skin for one minute, and then wash off. I have found that the mask is extremely hard to wash off due to its consistency, so I just apply it in the shower. It works the same way (and even gets a bit hotter than normal), but there’s no hassle in washing it off. If you do chose to apply and wash off with a wash cloth, try not to get mask in your hair, because it turns your hair a blue-green color that is hard to wash off roots.
At first, the mask heats almost to a point where I feel like it’s going to burn my skin, but after a couple seconds it cools down and feels quite nice. I just rub all over my face for 60 seconds and wash it off. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed!

Personal Opinion: The box says the mask is supposed to turn blue when finished, but I find that it just darkens a bit. It visibly reduces spots and really does minimize pore size. With one use per week, it gives the desired effect while not using too much mask in too short a time. I would recommend this to anybody, especially people with skin problems because it makes zits disappear (for the most part) and leaves skin smooth and pretty!

Summary: If you're looking for a mask that feels good and actually works, this is for you!
