After about 10 minutes you peel it off (a bit like a waxing strip but more slowly) Any yucky blackheads or pore blockages come out as they get stuck to the strip. Looking at the tiny blobs attached to the paper is very gross but weirdly satisfying too. The strips do do a pretty effective job but can sometimes leave your nose a bit red and sore for 1/2 hour or so afterwards. It's also import...more

Premium Review Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips: Rip tabs for the face (554 words)

Rating:

Biore pore strips are my saviour. I'm cursed with Mediterranean type skin with large pores and a propensity to grease production which spells big trouble for my pores. Blackheads and blocked pores are a problem and it's a full scale battle to keep my skin clean. I found Biore strips on eBay, full on squid sucker strength pore strips to rip the dirt out mercilessly, just what I needed. Though I couldn't find them for love nor money in the UK though the website claims the product is distributed here. http://www.biore.co.uk/products/productInfo.asp?productId=10 Having said that, the product is shipped from Japan in large quantities and much, much cheaper ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Pull out those blackheads! (713 words)

I recently read a review on dooyoo about Biore deep cleansing pore strips and was reminded that I still had a few of these strips stashed away in the bathroom cupboard that I had bought some time ago so it prompted me to use them again. They are strips which attach to your nose and strip away dirt, oil and blackheads. I bought mine in Boots and they cost £7.82 for a pack of 6 strips. Each strip can only be used once so this works out at about £1.31 per strip. Biore says that their strips have a special patented system and are twice as effective as any other make of strips at removing oil, dirt and blackheads from pores. They also say that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips: Have your pores grown to manhole-sized proportions?! (645 words)

I was fascinated when I read a review on Dooyoo that mentioned Biore deep cleansing pore strips. I had never heard of these strange things. What were they? And what did they do? So when I saw a box on the shelf in the skincare section of the supermarket I decided to give them a try. ~ What are they?~ These are nose strips that remove stubborn, pore clogging dirt, oil and blackheads. Around the nose area. They contain menthol and witch hazel. The information on the box says that with regular use (but not more often than once every 3 days) the deep cleansing pore strips will reduce the appearance of pores. Sounds good! Note that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Excellent, when they work (208 words)
by - written on 23/11/08 (Very useful, 63 readings)

If you have bad skin that prone to spots there are hundreds of products on the market that tell you they can get rid of them. Blackheads, however are one particulary nasty breed of spot so notoriously difficult to get rid of not many will make the claim that they can. This is where Biore deep cleasning pore strips come in. Firstly, they're expensive, very expensive. Each tiny little strip (that can oly be used once) works out about £1. Thet're a little fiddly to use, you have to wet your skin, peel of the backing paper and place on the skin before it dries, crease free, without touching the sticky side. Mirror essential!! After 10 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips: Bye bye blackheads! (215 words)

I love Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips! This is a must have for your skincare regime. Along with your facial scrubs, this is another once a week item! It's simple. Wash your face, pat dry, then wet your nose area and take the pore strip, remove the clear plastic cover and place sticky side down and smooth on your nose. Wait 15mins, thats- just enough time to do your nails, have a cup of tea, or write a dooyoo! Once the 15mins are up, peel off your nose. Easy as pie! It feels like a strange sensation when removing the strip, but it does not hurt. Here comes the gross bit! Hold the strip up to the light - you will see just how ...  Read the complete review
