I decided to buy Blistex last winter as my drips were constantly chapped because they were battered by our country's weather. I popped down to my local Boots and paid £2.09 for a small 14 gram pot.

The pot is very small and round with a screw cap and has a green carboard packaging that it is advertised in. This particular Blistex was a Daily Lip Conditioner although Blistex do a wide range of lip care products. The Daily Lip Conditioner is advertised to 'be used every day no matter what the climate or activity'.

It is a lip balm as opposed to a cream and can de applied daily. The purpose of the balm, is to sooth and replenish dry lips. The other thing that appealed to me about this cream is that it contains SPF 15. Even in this country and as a lot of us are aware the weather conditions may not be tropical but can still do some serious damage to your skin. What with all the marketing going on recently regarding skin care in the sun it appears a lot of people forget about their lips.

Blistex has got included in the ingredients Aloe Vera and Vitamin E both of which help skin and are healthy for your lips leaving them looking soft. I tend to apply this by rubbing my bare finger in the pot, you only need a small amount and then rubbing softly into my lips. They are left feeling really smooth and incredibly soft. The pot I have had seems to have lasted forever until I needed to renew it. I think by using it maybe 3 or 4 times a week it lasted nearly 4-5 months.

I think that this lip balm has a very soothing effect on your lips and I have found that when going out it is a good idea to apply a coat of this under your lipstick as it seems to make it last longer. All in all for how much this balm is and how long it lasted I think this is extremely good value.
