As a young child I can remember my mom always putting this stuff on my lips. I hated it but she swore by it. I can remember it tasting horrible and smelling even worse. I was so happy the first time I was able to avoid her putting it on my lips. Well a few years have gone buy and it seems that they have upgraded the product quite a bit its no longer in a small tube that spews ready or not as soon as you open it. It now comes in a little pot that you have to swirl the tip of your finger in to apply. After buying a pot all of my own to try out I opened it and put it to my nose a little pensive as I remember the smell from yesteryears. I am ... Read the complete review

I first came across this product whilst holidaying in the States and had chapped lips. I was a regular user of blisteze which comes in that tube that always breaks and the liquid goes all over my stuff - you know the one! I liked the way that made my lips feel though because it actually used to heal the chapping unlike vaseline or other lipbalms I have tried. The tube did my head in though so I was pleased when I found Lip Medex. It comes in a plastic pot with a screw on lid so the stuff stays firmly in its container. Bonus number one! I suffered for years with cold sores and never found anything that could actually stop the activity before it took hold.
I stumbled on Lip Medex in the USA on a skiing trip and have always stocked up when out there as I never found it in the UK until recently. I much prefer using it as a lip balm when it's cold outside or when I'm skiing.
I actually gave some out to some fellow suffering familly members who are also hooked on the product now.
I never go away without it; great product!

Blistex is probably one of my only absolute beauty essentials. I am 100% loyal to the brand as I've tried loads of other lip balms over the years and none of them have ever compared to Blistex. I like that this version comes in the small pot rather than the tubes, as I find it means that I can put on as much or as little as I want and also that I can get every last little scrap out. With the tubes I find that there's always some left in the packaging that you can't get out. Also with the tubes the balm seems a lot thinner and is more like a cream. I find the thick balm a lot better on my lips. Blistex is thick enough to do a really good job as a ... Read the complete review
