I first came across this product whilst holidaying in the States and had chapped lips. I was a regular user of blisteze which comes in that tube that always breaks and the liquid goes all over my stuff - you know the one!
I liked the way that made my lips feel though because it actually used to heal the chapping unlike vaseline or other lipbalms I have tried. The tube did my head in though so I was pleased when I found Lip Medex.

It comes in a plastic pot with a screw on lid so the stuff stays firmly in its container. Bonus number one!
The consistency is a little thicker than vaseline and it stays put on your lips.
It is medicated but the taste is pleasant, cool and fresh.

When applied, it gives a cool tingling sensation and even plumps up your lips a little - collagen? who needs it!
It gives you immediate relief from sore lips and you can sort of feel it working.

I wear it all the time, as I find it protects my lips and prevents them from chapping, but also heals when they are sore.
It doubles up as dry skin relief too - Im not saying you can use it as a body lotion but for the odd dry patch its brilliant.

Not sure if it has an SPF sorry - I have looked on the website and on the packaging but it doesn't say.

Finally I have found that the best place to buy it is good old ebay - can pick it up for around £2-3 each but I buy it in bulk to save on postage costs.

Summary: Highly effective balm and plumps up your lips too!
