Advantages: For big blackheads it works.

Disadvantages: Doesnt work everywhere

I have quite strange skin, it can go from a combination to dry to oily to normal in weeks. So trying to find the right skin care routine can be difficult. However one of the things I have always suffered from is blackheads.

You could easily do a dot to dot on my nose!! I have tried everything from scrubs, strips, pen tubes, baking soda, brown sugar paste and cleansers. Nothing worked they just stayed there stubborn as ever!

I then heard of the Body Shop blackhead remover and thought well I might as well give it a shot. At about £2-3 I thought if this works it cheaper than buying the strips. It a pole with two hoops at either end one small one and one bigger one. I used it straight away with no luck so decided to use it after I had steamed my face. All you do is press one of the ends aganist your skin and this causing pressure and out it comes. Well thats the idea!

A few came out which I was happy about but most just stayed put. I do recommend if you use this product, to give yourself a facial steam for about 15minutes as it opens your pores and could be more effective for you. I find the blackhead I was aiming stays put while the ones around it come out!

It was disgusting to see the stuff come out when it did work. After using it for about a month now I do think it has worked but you could still do a dot to dot on my nose though. It useful for big blackheads, or the odd spot you get. I wouldn't use it if you're just about to go out the house as it can leave an indent on your nose for a few minutes and can leave it quite red for an hour.

It's much more hygienic than using your fingers so stops spots spreading, however if you do have quite a bad case of blackheads I wouldn't recommend it to remove them completely.

Summary: I would say it useful but only for the odd spot or blackhead if you have alot of them, keep looking
