what am I doing wrong? (The Body Shop Blackhead Remover)

I bought this thing about 6 months ago, and I still haven't got it to work for me yet. I have tried it after a shower, so my pores should be open, but the thing does nothing for me!
I push so hard into my skin that all i am left with is little red rings around my spots! lol

What you get for your money is a little silver handled metal thing. Tiny really. There is a rounded end with a small hole in it, and this is what you place over your spot.

Anyway, I'm still left with my blackheads,and this little gadget is left sitting idle in my drawer.
It seems like such a quick and simple idea. I just wish it worked.
I suppose I haven't lost much money on it, but I think they could give you a little leaflet or something with it, so you could have some guidelines on how to use it, and any precautions, so you don't hurt yourself!
