... the new packaging of these, before it used to be a slightly deeper glass jar but now it's an all plastic little jar but I felt that it was quite shallow and the texture of the balm itself is a lot more thin than it used to be. However, when I applied this, I immediately noticed how lovely the smell was and also that although it was thin, it was doing a good job of keeping my lips moisturised through the day. But I also noticed that I had to keep reapplying because it just kept sliding off- now I don't know whether thi...more

Crowned Review The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm: Born Lippy - with troublesome lips (1049 words)

Every winter without fail my lips decide to remind me (with much more aggression than is necessary) that they really don't like the cold. Ever since I can remember I have had troublesome lips that can become dry very rapidly. They also crack and bleed very easily, sometimes just from a simple thing as yawning. This often results in a strange mix of red raw swollen lips with thick plaques of dead skin! Attractive, I know! This rather embarrassing problem of mine even got me into trouble at school as my lips were so red it looked like I was wearing lipstick and it took ages to convince the teachers that my lips were just red and sore! Throughout the years I have tried a ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Bubble Gum Flavoured Lips!  (1924 words)

I'd been meaning to buy a new lipbalm for ages. Since my Lush 'Lip Service' ran out a few weeks ago I'd just been using Vaseline on my lips, but a few days ago, I was shopping and decided to buy a new lipbalm. So I did... But first I had to choose where to buy it from: Boots, Superdrugs or The Body Shop? Desicions, desicions, eh? As you've probably already guessed, I decided to buy a lip balm from the Body Shop. This was because I'd used a Boots lip balm before (And reviewed it...), and I'd already been in to The Body Shop (quite a few times, actually...) to sniff their lip balms, and they smelt gorgeous! So in The Body ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm: I prefer this to the Lip Butter! (772 words)

When I was in the Body Shop buying some Christmas goodies for my mother in law I found that I was just short of spending the £10 needed to get a stamp on my loyalty card - I have done a review on this beneficial piece of plastic if you are interested! Anyway I decided to treat myself to some of the Born Lippy Lip Balm. I have always chosen Lip Butter when I have purchased from The Body Shop so I decided that it was time to give the Lip Balm a try. We live on the Great Orme in Llandudno so we have a sea breeze - sometimes a sea gale - most of the time. Add that to the fact that I spend a lot of time outside chopping wood for our log burner and you will see why ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Scrumptious lip balm thats almost good enough to eat (391 words)

My daughters love all things Body Shop, apart from their price tags. The almost edible aromas of the bubble baths and shower gels are greeted with squeaks of delight their price tags place them firmly outside the reaches of their pocket money and also beyond what their Dad can be persuaded to purchase as a treat. Still all is not lost. Their excitement is reserved for the Born Lippy Range of lip balms which retail at £3 each or two for £5 making affordable providing they save up for a few weeks. Fortunately they seem to last for ages and the girls get considerably more enjoyment from them than they do a comic or bag of sweets. Born Lippy comes in a variety of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm: Is the smell enough? (449 words)
by - written on 29/08/09 (Very useful, 30 readings)

I bought three of these when they were on 3 for 2 in Body Shop, despite the smell being absoloutley divine the product itself was not the best for moisturising or clearing up dry lips. I bought the following flavours; raspberry, strawberry and watermelon. The product: The product itself is a lip balm, it is in the same form as vaseline as that it is in a pot. It is under the Body Shop make 'Born Lippy'. There are other lip balms in the store that are in the normal 'stick' style, so if you are looking for this product it is undth the 'Born Lippy' range. The range: There are many different flavours in this range most of which are of 'sweet ...  Read the complete review
