Advantages: Gorgeous smelling
Disadvantages: Leaves your lips dry and doesn't moisturise them
I bought three of these when they were on 3 for 2 in Body Shop, despite the smell being absoloutley divine the product itself was not the best for moisturising or clearing up dry lips. I bought the following flavours; raspberry, strawberry and watermelon.
The product:
The product itself is a lip balm, it is in the same form as vaseline as that it is in a pot. It is under the Body Shop make 'Born Lippy'. There are other lip balms in the store that are in the normal 'stick' style, so if you are looking for this product it is undth the 'Born Lippy' range.
The range:
There are many different flavours in this range most of which are of 'sweet fruits' like strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry etc. They are also in different colours according to the fruit, but once applied most remain a clear colour, but some of the pink or red ones do give you a tint of this colour in the balm. There are also 'lip butters', these are not the same, these are a lot more thicker and feel a bit more like a mousturiser.
Price:
The price for this product is around £3/£4 which I think is quite expensive as they don't really do anything to your lips except to make them smell beautiful!
Avaliability:
The only actual store I know to stock these is Body Shop, however you can purchase them off of Amazon and Ebay.
Smell:
The smell of these products is absoloutley divine! Eachh of them all have a very unique smell that do smell like the fruit but so much sweeter-they smell good enough to eat. The smell of the strawberry one is my absoloute favourite, it so so so gorgeous, sweet and fruity!
My experience:
My experience with that product hasn't been all that great. If you are out and about you really have to apply with your finger, it is quite a sticky so aswell as your fingers being left sticky.
Also it doesn't really moisturise your lips and stills leaves them dry! Also it wears off really quickly, and once it has worn off you are left with really dry lips which leads you to lick them which just makes them even dryer.
Although I really liked the smell of these and they sount great in the shop they are just not the product for me as I suffer with dry and chapped lips. As they are quite glossy once on though, they would also look good for a lip gloss if you don't have dry lips!
Summary: I won't be buying again!
