Advantages: Skin brightening and pore-refining

Disadvantages: May increase skin sensitivity to the sun

An essential item for my beauty kit! I have been using this toner for about 12 months now and it does have a lovely brightening effect on my skin. I recently bought another brand of cleanser and tried it for a few days and noticed my skin had become duller and as soon as I switched back to my new favourite, my skin looked perkier.

The product comes in a 250ml bottle and typical of Botanics products, contains natural, plant extracts including Equisetum ('an ancient plant that was used for its purifying properties') which helps to refine pores and tone skin.

It has a light, fresh fragrance and I slightly green colour in the bottle. Applied with cotton wool it brightens the complexion and minimises excess oil.

It only costs around £3.50 at Boots and often features as part of their buy 2, get a 3rd free offers.

**NOTE**
This product does contain AHA (or alpha hydroxy acid) which may result in an increased sensitivity to the sun and especially the risk of sunburn. It is advisable to use a sunscreen in conjunction with the toner and sun exposure should be limited for at least a week after use of the product is stopped.
It has quite a nice, light fragrance too.

Summary: A firm beauty kit favourite!
