Advantages: Work, tighten skin

Disadvantages: Tighten up skin too much (too much toner)

The one thing I buy alot of is make-up removing wipes. One of the reasons behind this is cos weigh back I got in from a drunken night out and tried to remove my make-up with Immac mistaking it for cleansing lotion. I lost every single hair on my face so wipes, well I always put a packet on my bed as I head off for a big night out so never again does it happen!

I saw these offer in Boots as a buy any Complete Care product get another one free so instead of costing me £2.29 a packet I got these and the matching eye make up remover wipes for the price one product would normally cost. I was very pleased indeed!

The Packaging....

Light pink, plastic oblong packet. On the front there is a light pink lift on off label (to get a wipe out of) and on that in black, white and gold writing I'm told they are Boots Complete Skincare Revitalising Cleansing Wipes 'With ProVitamin B5 & Sea Parsley' and are meant to thoroughly cleanse, tone and remove make-up, refresh and energise your skin and leave skin cool, clean and radiant and are for normal or combination skin (mine being the latter) and finally I'm told the packet contains 30 wipes. On the back of the packet all in small black writing I'm told they are PH balanced, dermatologically tested to be kind to your skin and are soap and alcohol free, I'm told a bit about the product, warnings and ingredients are listed, once again I'm told the pack contains 30 wipes, contact details for Boots are given, the recycle symbol is displayed and so is the bar-code.

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Packet....

Help your skin look and feel beautiful with Boots Complete skincare. These revitalising cleansing wipes have been expertly developed with conditioning ProVitamin B5 and mineral rich Sea Parsley to give your skin exactly what it needs to look and feel its best.

Beauty Benefits....

Thoroughly cleanse, tone and remove make-up in a single step.
Refresh and energise skin.
Pamper your skin with a luxurious texture and a delicate fragrance, leaving it cool, clean and radiant.

How To Use The Wipes....

Smooth wipe over face and neck. Discard after use in bin. Do not flush. Take care to ensure the pack is properly sealed to prevent wipes from drying out. Then follow with your preffered Boots Complete Skincare Moisturiser.

Me Using Them....

Each wipe is white in colour and made of thick cloth and is very soft to the touch. The wipe is square and bigger than the size of my face and smells delicately and beautifully of flowers (not too overpowering!).

The wipe is quite moist and not drippy and the liquid within the wipe is slightly greasy and makes short work or removing all make-up and skin impurities though I do need a couple of wipes to remove a face full of make up!

Easy and fuss free to use, afterwards I simply bin the wipe and reseal the packet so my wipes don't dry out.

Results....

I'm not too keen on these at all. I haven't had any problem in removing grease, grime and even waterproof mascara though I do need to rub at my skin quite a bit as they arnt soaking wet or moist enough. I find them very easy to use and they do the job and are comfortable to use however they leave my skin over toned and too tightened to the point my skin on my face feels far too tight and dry though to the touch my skin is smooth and softened and appears cleaner too although I don't feel deep down clean and do wonder if they really do remove ingrained grease and dirt well enough.

Verdict....

I personally wouldn't use these and only these on a regular basis because I don't trust them 100% for getting me clean but on the go and for occasional use they're great as they do work very well but I don't like the tight feeling they leave on my face.

Summary: Not awful but not great!
