... it's own. Applying this stuff, especially if you keep it in the fridge, is a massive relief for my tired and sore eyes. It's light weight and easily absorbed. Not at all greasy, and with a vague refreshing aroma of the cucumber. It is just a small tube, 15ml, which is a useful size for popping into your handbag. This product lightly hydrates, meaning it's not richly moisturising, more a wake-up call for your eyes. If you have ever had little tiny white spots around your eyes as I have, this is an indication of over m...more

Crowned Review Boots Cucumber Eye Gel: I'm Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed! (1117 words)

I hate that feeling when I wake up feeling un-refreshed ~ it's almost like you haven't had any sleep at all! I end up with tired, sore eyes (this is also true if I have had my contact lenses in for a long time the previous day) and I feel as though everyone can see the dark rings around my eyes! This is when I turn to my Natural Collection Cucumber and Eye Bright Cooling Eye Gel (henceforth to be referred to merely as Cucumber Eye Gel ~ or maybe even just "gel") ~~~What is it? It is a gel that you apply around your eyes to ease the discomfort of tired and aching eyes. It contains extracts of Eyebright and Cucumber ~ the former is ...  Read the complete review

Eye Spy A Cucumber!  (485 words)

Boots' have a lovely range of Cucumber extract products out now and well, because I'm a daft lass, I find I'm tempted to try some of them just because the packets look very nice. I often succumb to my curiosity in Boots stores. Especially when I see the lovingly packaged and groovy looking gels, creams and other such gooey items. Ahhh, hours of messy fun in the bathroom! So, one morning while ambling around Boots at Queensway in London, I came across a dainty little item called "Cucumber Eye Gel", and this is what I shall attempt to review here. Cucumber Eye Gel comes in a 15ml plastic tube. It's clear gel and in light green ...  Read the complete review

I have tried a number of eye gels and creams over the years, usually fairly cheap ones, and have found them to be good for using on the delicate skin around the eyes, but they have not made a dramatic difference to the appearance. The Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel is suitable for all skin types, and is enriched with vitamins and soothing cucumber. The ingredients list doesn't actually say which vitamins it contains though. The Eye Gel is packaged in a small pale green tube with a darker green screw top lid. The instructions say that it should be applied gently around the eye area twice a day, morning and night. I have found that it is beneficial to apply ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Soothing my poor little eyes (311 words)

I will start by saying, if you are an oddball like me, who is allergic to their own tears and has a tendency to puff up like a balloon after a crying session, you need this stuff! We all have our bad days, and after being stressed out last week I ended up falling asleep exhausted having had a bit of a blub. Not a problem you'd think, everyone sobs from time to time lol. Well, MY problem is, if I fall asleep without washing my face, my eyes seem to react like I've been bombed with tear gas. I seriously look like my eyes have swollen to the point where they are all puffy and painful. This is where Boots essentials cucumber eye gel comes into it's own. ...  Read the complete review
