... was for 'sensitive' eyes, and I have extremely sensitive skin on my face (hence my previous use of Baby Oil and Vaseline). As it turns out, I should have just bought Baby Oil and been able to use it as a lotion as well! This has the exact same consistency as Baby Oil - I'd be surprised if there was much else in it contained. It is, however, cheaper than Baby Oil, so maybe that is a plus for it. However, it must be said that the packaging leaves quite a lot to be desired - for one, the label peeled off quite soon ...more

Premium Review Boots Expert Sensitive Eye Make Up Removal Lotion: Great for sensitive eyes! (340 words)
by - written on 15/01/08 (Very useful, 156 readings)

My eyes are very sensitive so when I found my eyes stinging after using a cucumber make-up removing lotion, I decided I would have to find one that would not sting. The Boots Expert range was formally called Skin Kindly with different packaging. I'm not too sure if there have been new products added as I didn't use the previous range too much. The Boots website tells me that this product was formally the Boots Skin kindly Eye Make-up Remover Lotion. This product comes in a tall frosted effect bottle. The label on the front is like the one in the picture. Mine however came off a long time time ago due to the greasiness of the product! The screw ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review An eye make up remover that runs away from mascara! (808 words)
by - written on 23/01/08 (Very useful, 139 readings)

Eye make up remover is something that I swear by. It one of my essentials as I hate having to scrub with cleanser and toner around my sensitive eyes and I like something gentle but hard working to do the trick and then I continue with the rest of my make up removing techniques. I'd seen this range in Boots before and I already owned the sensitive moisture cream I had been given for free from the same range though I wasn't impressed. However I needed some eye make up remover and this is currently on at the special price of £1.49 instead of £2.99 so I purchased with my points off my advantage card. What This Product Says About ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Boots Expert Sensitive Eye Make Up Removal Lotion: Not an 'expert' in removing eye make up (369 words)
by - written on 26/10/09 (Very useful, 45 readings)
Rating:

I had high hopes for this eye make up remover. Boots is a name I trust and most of their own branded products are usually excellent value for money. So I really hoped this would be the same. Product Description and Claims************* The eye make up remover comes in a 200 ml bottle priced at £2.99. Boots describes this product as being 'especially designed for sensitive skin' which is exactly what I need as I have very sensitive skin and have often found that some eye make up removers can sting the area around my eyes. It claims to be 'free from fragrance and lanolin and it has a blend of light oils to gently sweep away even waterproof make ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Low price but low quality (336 words)
by - written on 24/09/09 (Very useful, 16 readings)
Rating:

I'm a big fan of own brand products and have enjoyed using the Boots Expert range before, so this product was an obvious option for me when I needed to replace my eye make-up remover. I was very disappointed with the product as it was far too greasy and didn't so much remove my eye make-up rather than spread it around my face. The consistency of the liquid is similar to baby oil, maybe a bit less thick. The lotion was so greasy that it would be more appropriately named a make-up removal oil. I have particularly dry skin and I found this too oily - it would be completely inappropriate for someone with oily skin. The oil also made the plastic label ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Boots Expert Sensitive Eye Make Up Removal Lotion: Oily Eyes! (421 words)
by - written on 24/09/09 (Very useful, 47 readings)

I usually wear waterproof mascara most days and have found difficulty finding a eye-make up remover which will remove it easily. My usual one is a Clarins one which does the job fantastically however it is not cheap. I am therefore always on the lookout for a similar product and this is how I found myself trying out this one. It is from the Boots Expert range and is called Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Eye Make Up Removal Lotion. It costs £2.98 and is available from Boots stores or online at Boots.com The lotion is hypoallergenic and is suitable for sensitive skin. It is fragrance free and dermatologically tested. It contains aloe vera and a ...  Read the complete review
