Advantages: It is suitable for sensitive eyes, as it doesn't irritate or cause redness. Large bottle.

Disadvantages: Too greasy. Not particularly effective at removing eyeliner and mascara.

I'm a big fan of own brand products and have enjoyed using the Boots Expert range before, so this product was an obvious option for me when I needed to replace my eye make-up remover.

I was very disappointed with the product as it was far too greasy and didn't so much remove my eye make-up rather than spread it around my face.

The consistency of the liquid is similar to baby oil, maybe a bit less thick. The lotion was so greasy that it would be more appropriately named a make-up removal oil. I have particularly dry skin and I found this too oily - it would be completely inappropriate for someone with oily skin. The oil also made the plastic label come away from the bottle and left the bottle feeling very greasy. I did not enjoy getting grease on my hands whenever I used it.

The label clearly states that it is for sensitive eyes. My eyes are sensitive and the lotion didn't irritate my eyes at all. However I had to remove the residue using a cleansing lotion which cancelled out the gentle effect the eye lotion had.

I normally wear eyeshadow, black eyeliner and black mascara, none of which are waterproof. It removed my eyeshadow quite well, but spread the mascara and eyeliner around my eye area. I had to clean off the residue and the black marks left on my face with lots of cleanser.

Because of the extreme oiliness of the product, it is unsuitable for using before you are going to reapply make up. It made my skin incredibly shiny and make up would slip off straight away.

After a couple of weeks persevering with this lotion, I eventually gave up and threw it away. I'd purchased this mainly because I believed it would be good value for money, but with half a bottle ending up in the bin, it turned out to be a complete waste.

Summary: A low-price lotion which is gentle but extremely oily and ineffective.
