Advantages: Kind to the skin, nice smell and leaves skin feeling soft and very gently hydrated
Disadvantages: None unless you don't like the smell of course!
If you regularly read my reviews you will be aware that I have a bit of an infatuation with Lavender scented products! I own loads and my friends all call me Granny Grunt for it!
Experience however has taught me to not be deceived by the scent anymore and to use this scent in private and not use loads of these highly fragranced products for a date or nightclubbing or anything! It doesn't go down too well at all with other people lol!
The Packaging....
Mine is a 50ml tube which is almost see through with a matching clear screw on/off cap situated to the bottom and set me back £1.50 in Boots. This is also available in a 250ml size (at £4.00). It's a very simple looking bottle with burgundy small writing on it telling me on the front that it's Boots French lavender, Relaxing Body Wash, 'blended with pure essential oil of French Lavender'. On the back of the tube I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use, warnings are listed, size and recycle symbol are displayed and finally contact details for Boots are given. As I said a nice simple looking tube of product but with all the information on it you require and not one bit economy looking.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back of The Tube....
A moisturising body wash which gently cleanses and conditions the skin. Unwind and enjoy the infusion of Lavender essential oil, known to help aid relaxation. Let the aroma of Lavender soothe away tension.
Using It....
Very simple. you just need to dispense bout the size of a 10p on to what you want to wash with (I use a scrunchy). It's a light lilac slightly shimmery rich looking shower gel. It isn't too runny and is of a nice rich consistency.
It lathers up into big white thick conditioning bubbles very quickly, feels smooth as silk on the skin and you simply wash with it and there is enough lather provided to shave with it if you want to. The smell is of rich lavender and that's it. It doesn't smell fake or sugary sweet or too harsh but it is what it is. Lavender so be sure to like that smell!
The Results....
Your left clean, fresh and smelling slightly of lavender but not in a really heavy distinctive way or anything. It really doesn't over fragrance this one and simply leaves a delicate smell on the skin. Skin is left feeling very smooth and with no residue on it as it is simple to rinse off. It doesn't over moisture the skin and certainly doesn't dry it out or irritate it either. It's simply a nice shower gel. As for it promising relaxation well I'm not sure it does really but it is pleasant enough to use for sure!
Only available in Boots.
Summary: A nice, everyday type of gentle shower gel
