Advantages: does what it says on the tube!
Disadvantages: none
I bought this at Boots when I had one of the £5 off No7 vouchers, this should have been £8 so I got it for £3.
The gel comes in a little tube which looks white but as you start using it you will realise its a slightly see through plastic.
The tube stands upside down on its lid, it comes in one size, 15ml.
On the back of the tube it shows the symbol of an open tub stating it lasts 6 months once opened but i've had mine over that amount of time and its not caused any problems (yet) lol.
On the front it says; No7 in gold writing, and then 'Awakening eye gel' underneath in fine black writing, at the bottom of the tube it says 'Hypoallergenic' as do all the No7 products.
On the back of the tube it says 'Soothe away the signs of long hours and late nights with this gentle revitalising eye gel, created to help reduce puffiness and dark circles'.
As this is to be used on the sensitive eye area it is also fragrance free.
Instructions for use: Close your eyes and carefully dot around their contours, patting gently to smooth in.
I apply this before bed as I don't think it would sit well under make up.
Its gel based and sinks in nicely without the need to rub it in which is again good for this delicate area. It feels lovely, cool and refreshing as you apply it and it doesn't make your eyes sting at all and as I have very sensitive skin I'd know if it did.
I don't know how this works on puffiness as I don't have puffy eyes but I do have dark circles from lack of sleep and too many late nights and this works wonders on them!
After about a week of applying this every night, my dark circles had faded significantly, about 3 weeks after this they'd almost disappeared and I was defintely not getting any more sleep so the cream is 100% to thank
When I run out I hope it'll be timed nicely for having another No7 voucher but if not I'll probably buy some anyway as its a very good product that last ages.
Summary: A great eye cream for dark circles

- 06/09/08 I must try this. I have just discovered L'Oreal's Infallible Concealer (which I have reviewed because it's very good) but I would love to find something that actually gets rid of dark circles, not just covers them up! |
