~** BODY AFTERSUN SHIMMERING AND COOLING **~

Body Aftersun is a great product from No 7 cosmetics. I usually buy Ambre Solaire atersun, but this one caught my eye on the shelf at Boots. I tested it on my skin and the effect was very pretty. So I thought I would buy it. It stated on the bottle that it was cooling, and also shimmering. Well it was. When I tested it on my arm the instant effect was very cooling, what was also nice about it was the shimmering quality it produced. As it went onto my skin, and I spread it in, I was left with a lovely golden shimmer effect on my skin.


The cooling feeling stayed with me for quite a while, which I liked. You need this feeling when you have come in after a stretch in the harmful suns rays, and the shimmer just looked very pretty upon my skin. I have to mention the smell. The fragrance is lovely. It's kind of a cross between Johnsons baby powder, which I think is absolutely gorgeous, lovely and fresh, and rose. Really delightful. Just a soft subtle fragrance.


Not forgetting this products main purpose, which is an aftersun lotion. The product comes in a tall 7 inch container square in shape, and in the same shimmery colour as the lotion, which is cream coloured with the irridescent quality. It's a nice container, and well made. It states it is for 'Summer Skin', and that it is shimmering and cooling. It also contains a unique anti UV-Antioxident Ageing complex, and that it is hypo allergenic. It is also designed for sensitive skin, therefore suitable for all skin types.


The cream is a peachy cream colour, and a little looser in consistency than a foundation. When applied to the skin it is immediately cooling and easily absorbed. It is also a moisturiser which has a tan enhancing light golden shimmer effect. The cream has been designed to replace lost moisture after you have been out in the sun, and then it continues to moisturise for the following 12 hours. The cream helps to restore suppleness in the skin, whilst it cools and soothes. It also helps to prevent peeling, which in turn helps to prolong your tan.


The main property of body aftersun is to protect your skin from the harmful UV light. It seems on the face of it a very useful and thorough aftersun. When using this cream just spread it on as desired, and use lots of it, it really is so cooling, and it doesn't block the pores, so your skin will continue to breathe whilst it protects. Body aftersun is a deep moisturising complex, and it contains vitamins A, C, and E. It also contains Mulberry extract and Ginseng, which will protect the skin against premature skin aging caused by the suns rays. It also contains properties to maintain the suppleness and elasticity of the skin.


All in all I was very impressed with the body aftersun. By it's name I gather that it is for the body only, although I rarely take any notice o this and I have used it on my face as well. I shouldn't think it would do any harm. The product is extremely well presented in a very attractive bottle. It has lots of good properties, and it is very cooling, as an aftersun should be. It isn't cheap, considering the brand, but it is a very effective after sun, and one that I will definitely be buying again. 'Summer Skin Body Aftersun' is made by the Boots Company. The bottle size is 200 ml, and the cost is £9.00 apx. Lots of advantage points too.-
