Advantages: Skin is definitely in better condition after using
Disadvantages: Bit expensive for me
I was introduced to No7 Protect and Perfect range after I ordered some No7 cosmetics last Christmas and received a free gift with quite a few sample sizes of cosmetics and beauty treatments.
One of the samples was the Protect and Perfect Day Cream, which came in a 15ml tube, alongside 5ml of the Beauty Serum.
I've never really bothered with expensive face creams before but when I went on holiday I thought "Why not? I'll use it up and see what it's like." Being 30 this year I thought it best to try and keep my skin in the fairly reasonable condition that it's currently in!
This day cream has an SPF of 15 which I think is essential for protecting your skin from everyday sun exposure. It's quite a nice consistency, not too thick or too runny, and it goes on your skin very well. It has a nice fresh smell which is not too overpowering and is absorbed quickly without being overly greasy. You don't actually have to use a huge amount to get decent coverage over your face so I do think you are getting value for money compared to some other brands.
It is recommended that you use this day cream after using the Boots Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum, and I have to say that my skin does feel in better condition. My skin is softer and smoother and I have noticed that some (very) fine lines are no longer all that noticeable to me. I did get asked to provide ID for buying alcohol in Sainsbury's recently so maybe it is doing me some good!
The little trial version didn't last all that long though, since I've been using it twice a day. I'm currently about to invest in the full size 50ml version, which is currently £19.50, as well as possibly getting the night cream too.
I was quite surprised as I have never been one to spend lots of money on beauty products but I think this is worth the money.
Summary: Expensive, but worth it
