Disadvantages: More expensive than some brands

I've used a few of the Boots No7 Protect and Perfect products and so far have liked all that I have tried. I was keen to try the day cream and to see whether it would be as good a standard as the rest of them product range.

The day cream is a facial moisturiser designed to protect and rejuvenate your skin and Boots suggest you should use it alongside the Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum to give you younger-looking skin. The cream is also hypo-allergenic. It has won the Best Inexpensive Anti-ageing Cream by Instyle Beauty Awards 2009.

It is available only from Boots stores or online at Boots.com and costs £19.50. The cream comes in a 50ml tub which has a screw top lid.

The cream is a white thin cream with a smell that reminds me a bit of sun-cream it has a nice fresh smell. It absorbs quickly into my skin and isn't at all greasy. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and wonderfully moisturised. To be honest I think its claims to "reveal younger-looking skin" might be a bit far-fetched but it does make my skin feel really nice and at the moment I'm not too worried about looking younger.

I like this cream it smells nice and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I like the fact that the day cream has a built sun-protection with SPF 15. Although it doesn't always seem sunny in the UK we should be using sun-protection everyday so having it built into a facial moisturiser is an easy way of protecting your skin.

Although the cream is expensive compared to some moisturisers it is cheaper than my usual Clarins moisturiser and I would buy it again. If you do have the Protect and Perfect Serum (which I can also recommend) the two products go really well together and do leave you with great looking skin.

Summary: A great cream by Boots which leaves skin protected and perfected!
