Advantages: Nice smell and skin feels a bit smoother

Disadvantages: Bit too greasy for me, doesn't help with time resisting lol

I do like good moisturisers. Whether it be for my body or face I like the good stuff and am willing to pay for it. On the whole I'm quite happy that next to my friend's of the same age I look lots younger than they do! At the end of the day you can't stop getting older and looking it without taking very drastic measures (I can't afford to but would consider it lol) and me I'm not up for fighting about it on an all out battlefield but I do want to look the best that I can be no matter what age I am!

Boots is my all out favourite shop. I could live in there for real! I'm toiletry and cosmetics barmy and I spend far too much time and money in their stores. I'm sure if there was ever an emergency with my friends or family and they couldn't get hold of me for any reason they would call up Boots head office and ask for a message to be put out over the tannoy system for me cos I'd bound to be in a store somewhere! I love Boots so much I don't just use one store here in Coventry. Nope we do have 3 large shops and they are different! lol I even know staff by names in the different shops. I'm not sure now if I'm nagging or complaining to be honest!

I do love Boots own branded stuff. I'm a huge fan of Time Delay products, love the Boots Essential range (for hair only), tend to buy alot of Botanics products for my face and one of my favourite brands of make up are No7. I love the packaging, the products and the advice I can get on using the stuff in store. I agree with alot of people who, on here have said that the range can be fairly expensive if there isn't a 3 for the price of 2 offer on stuff or like when you spend so much you don't get a free gift or something and me like many others actually wait until one of them deals are on or I get a money off voucher and use it against this range. I notice of late that No7 are doing this more often than not, cos I'm sure us ladies have stopped and thought about our purses and stopped buying stuff from here unless we're getting a bargain.

Now me, as I said I buy cosmetics in the range alot. I love them and although not particularly cutting edge in concept (though they are bringing out Mineral Foundation with a big launch in January that I'm really looking forward to), I do like sophisticated make up that I can add a bit of bling to with other ranges if I want to do so. So this range really suits me.

A couple of weeks ago for every fiver I was spending in store I was getting £5.00 off the No7 range (or Ruby & Millie). I started off by buying almost every nail polish No7 have on offer and with the five pound off voucher I was spending £1.50 on the nail varnish and making the money up I spent in store with each transaction to another £5.00 meaning I was getting yet another voucher with every purchase! In just over two weeks I collected mountains off stuff! New foundation and pressed powder, eyeliners and eye-shadows. My Mum kept pointing out that I was really getting ripped off. I disagree but her point was I was spending money on stuff that I usually wouldn't buy and would buy on a do I need it basis (cos of the cost) and Boots really did rely on muppets with cash to burn... like me lol

I listened to that and looked inside 3 overflowing make up bags and in my drawer full of No7 nail varnishes and thought Mum is right this is silly. I have one life. One face and two sets of nails to occasionally paint. That's when I moved on to the No7 face and body range. Oh dear I thought as I looked at the range. This could end up being an even more pricey habit! However face care products I do use religiously and I do get through alot of stuff so although I was spending more out on the stuff than usual (as I use just ordinary face products usually on offer or cheap priced on the high street for a couple of quid a time) I did rationalise that I did actually need and use it and was getting money off for better quality stuff.

I was surprised how much face and body stuff No7 had on sale as I'd never really perused the stand before at these type of products. The ladies were really helpful on the counter (they know me very well too!) and they helped me pick this one after discussing my skin at length. Well for me it was a fairly large purchase at £16.50 for a pot even if I did use a £5.00 voucher off as well and in honesty with myself I didn't 'need' this one as I have loads of day moisturisers on the go at the moment but I liked the pot lol

The Pot....

50ml, white plastic with screw on/off lid. On the top of the lid it has in gold writing No7 written on it. On the front and also in gold writing I'm told it is Time Resisting Day Cream. On the back I'm given contact details for Boots, the recycle symbol is shown on there and the size is stated. My pot is very plain but it's nice enough and functional rather than flash.

What Boots Say about The Product....

Rewind time and reveal younger-looking skin with No7 Time Resisting Day Cream. This velvety moisturising cream will measurably reduce lines and wrinkles in just 2 weeks.

Using It....

Ok so the smell when you open the pot and take a sniff (all important ladies I'm sure you'll agree), is a little fruity, quite sweet with a hint of cream and very expensive smelling to my nasal passages. It isn't an in your face smelly smell but it is light and fresh and not at all invasive or old fashioned and I'm sure not something anybody could moan about smell wise. The smell once on the face and/or neck sticks about about an hour after application (depending on what other products you use with or on top of this of course).

The cream is a brilliant white colour. Although called cream and granted it has an excellent consistency to it, it isn't a thick and hard to use cream. This you need very little of and as soon as you touch the skin with it, it melts quickly and seeps into the face and neck. As your applying it though it does feel a little bit greasy and then quickly that dries into the skin. You can still feel a greasy sort of feeling on the fingers if you touch it but alot of that has gone and skin does look matted though you can still feel the product. Because this dries in so quickly it does make an ideal base for make up and skin to be fair does feel a tad more hydrated and soft but again even with make up on you can feel this is on the skin in a greasy film under foundation etc.

In Honesty....

I'm really not keen on this. For some reason even though I apply it (of course) on to dry, clean my face feels grimy once this is applied. It's not even the fact that this product feels heavy on the face because it quite simply doesn't and it isn't mask like just feels grimy and like I want to wash it off my face really. I think my face just feels a fake soft and even after a couple of hours of this being applied I can still feel this cream on my face (even under make up.... still). Yes it hydrates ok but to me not in a good way and face feels a little bit unnaturally tight so not as supple as I'd like it to feel.

Appearance wise skin really does look ok with this product on it. As I said before it does matt the skin down a little so although I do feel a bit greasy and grimy my face appears bright, smooth and soft. I wouldn't say amazingly so but it doesn't look bad at all. Yes it moisturises skin I guess. Dry areas of skin feel moisturised and this does help dry parts of my skin where spots once resided and left dry areas. Flaky skin is really helped as well and it really helps combats this in the long term. It doesn't upset my skin either to be fair. I have been using this now for over two weeks every day (in the mornings after cleansing and toning) and I haven't had more spots than usual or anything different happening on my face in that respect.

However wrinkles, lines and frown lines are not helped either with this product on my face and it has not changed my face in any way shape or form to be honest! I see no difference! Skin texture in the long run does feel smoother but not dramatically so and my face doesn't feel uplifted or less sagging then when I parted with my cash.

Overall....

There is nothing more to really say about this product. I don't like the feel of this product when it's on my face and/or neck. I can feel the heaviness and slight stickiness and I feel dirty with it on my face and over time that feeling doesn't go. It's expensive for what it is and I'd say really do try this product out in store before you buy it to be sure it's suitable for your skin type and requirements.

Not the worst face moisturiser I've ever used but I certainly wouldn't repurchase i as my lines haven't been erased!

Summary: Not for me!
