I have a number of lip balms, normal Lypsyl tubes and little pots of magic balms and even a small tube of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream which I use if my lips get really dry so when I saw the No 7 Protect & Perfect range had a lip care item I decided to buy some. Being a bargain shopper I went online and found it cost £8.60 for a 10ml tube from Boots so I hotfooted it over to Ebay and picked one up for £1.99 including p & p. Bargain! The Protect & Perfect range is, as you all probably know, meant to slow down aging signs. Lips are prone to vertical lines on and around them as we get older and I've got a few of these so this sounded perfect ... Read the complete review

Anyone who has read my Burt's Bees review will know I'm a self-confessed lip balm addict. I am also a bargain hunter, so when I recently got a £5 voucher off the Boots Protect & Perfect range I was delighted and thought I'd give that serum a go seeing as everyone's always raving about it. Upon reaching the P&P counter in my local Boots, however, and seeing the £18 price tag, I quickly decided I didn't need to know first hand what everyone was talking about after all. I then noticed a tiny little pale blue box with the magical words 'Lip Care' on it. This was only £8.50, so £3.50 with my voucher. This was perfectly acceptable and I trotted off to the ... I as quite surprised to read the other review on here about this product - it's negative! I am a lip balm junkie, get a new one every week or so. I am a big fan of No7, as I find it's a good value range - pricier than some, but the quality to me is equal to that of the premium make up and skincare brands. I was looking for a new lip balm a few weeks, as my current one was all of ten days old. After browsing the lip balms stand in Boots, and seeing all the usual balms, that I've used before, I moved onto the No7 counter, with the intention of using a voucher for 250 points with any No7 purchase. My eyes fell on the lip care box! It was like fate, ... Read the complete review

I love the No 7 range and have tried most of their products yet I was very suprised by this item.... and not in a good way! I bought this item last october as my lips were getting a little dry and I needed to buy an extra item to get one of No 7's famous goody bags. It is in a tall, slim plastic tube which is very in keeping with the rest of the range. It is a small 10ml tube but as you use so little each time it will last quite a while. Well, it would do if it didn't have a 6months expiry tag. the product itself is a very soft white cream that rubs in quickly and easily. When you rub it in it feels like your lips are coated ... I had really high expectations of this product, I've used quite a few products from the Boots No7 range and have found them to be really good quality and value for money. Sadly this lip balm completly bucked that trend! The product is white and heavy on your lips. It is not easily absorbed, it's an absolute must to apply this using a mirror or you end up with white dots all over your lips. As the lip balm is (eventually) absorbed I found that I had littlle dots of loose dry skin all over my lips, which wasn't very pleasant! The product is supposed to be able to be used under other lip products, but I found that if I tried to apply lipstick or lip ... Read the complete review
