Perfectly soft smooth lips await! (Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Lip Care)

I as quite surprised to read the other review on here about this product - it's negative!

I am a lip balm junkie, get a new one every week or so. I am a big fan of No7, as I find it's a good value range - pricier than some, but the quality to me is equal to that of the premium make up and skincare brands.

I was looking for a new lip balm a few weeks, as my current one was all of ten days old. After browsing the lip balms stand in Boots, and seeing all the usual balms, that I've used before, I moved onto the No7 counter, with the intention of using a voucher for 250 points with any No7 purchase. My eyes fell on the lip care box! It was like fate, that I'd killed two birds with one stone - lip balm, and using my voucher.

I couldn't wait until I got home to try it out, so as soon as I got back to my car, I got the lip care out. The nozzle isn't ideal for spreading the balm onto your lips, so I squeezed a little onto my fingers, and smoothed it onto my lips.

I was first struck by the delicious smell... very sweet, vanilla like scent. It smoothed on beautifully, and made my lips feel wonderfully soft. And best of all, it sinks in within seconds - so your lips feel naturally soft, not like you're wearing lip balm. My boyfriend has so far not noticed it - he detests me wearing any lip balm, or anything he can feel, so this is a big plus for me.

A few weeks later, my lips have no cracks at all, are soft and smooth. I apply it about 3 times a day - when I wake up, some point during the day, and before bed. I sometimes put a glossy balm on top (when I'm not with my boyfriend) as I like the glossy effect, but without the gloss, my lips simply feel smooth and soft. I can't say I've noticed any plumping effect, but this is not a problem for me.

I must say, it's rather pricey for a lip balm - £8.50 a tube, but it should last ages, and I really feel it's worth the money.

Summary: lovely lip balm if you're splashing out a bit
