It's been hailed as a wonder cream and sold out in days after a BBC2 Horizon programme said it was as effective at combating sun damage as other products which can only be prescribed by a doctor. So I decided to buy some the next time I was at Boots, but it was out of stock, not surprising really as they had sold 60,000 bottles in 10 days instead of 1,000 a week as they had previously! Eventually after trying on eBay for a few weeks, where one bottle sold for £100, I managed to buy a bottle at even less than the recommended price and that was including postage! So what is this wonder serum? The blurb on the box promises "Renewed ... Read the complete review

Now, I think I have to be the most sceptical person in the world when I hear all the claims about "miracle" skin care creams. I was vaguely aware that Protect and Perfect had been shown to work in scientific trials, and that there had been chaos in some Boots stores with people trying to buy it. It wasn't until a couple of months ago that I got round to trying it, though. There was a special offer on which meant I got a free gift bag as well, so I figured it wasn't bad value. The product on its own is £16.75 for a 30ml tube, so although it's expensive, it isn't as costly as some of the other "wonder creams". The cream comes in a squeezy ... Read the complete review

This product sold out completely a couple of months ago, when it was profiled on a BBC2 Horizon documentary. The shocking finding - brace yourself, girls - was that this is a product that ACTUALLY WORKS. I don't actually watch TV (that's right, not ever), so I was blissfully unaware of all this until I innocently went into Boots the next week, to witness something like a mini-riot. The sales assistant was explaining to a group of disappointed women that the chain had sold out not only of the stock in stores, but of all the reserve stock. Those wanting the serum would have to wait until the factory had produced more. Even then, purchase was going to be ... Read the complete review

At around january time I picked up a free make up bag which icluded amongst various things a trial size of this beauty serum. I have been suffering from acne for the last two years and it seems finally after a 12 month course of antibiotics, sunbeds, various bye bye blemish products, tea tree oil, herbal rememdies, 2 litres of water a day, (the list goes on) it seemed to be under control.... however the scarring was proving to be very hard to shift...im not talking huge pits but just lots of little red marks across my cheeks (almost as bad as having the spots themselves!!) anyway one night angry and frustrated at lookin at the hideous reflection in the mirror and ... It was a sunny Saturday and I rang Cool Friend to see if she wanted to meet up for lunch. I bounced around the kitchen looking at my new suede pixie boots and listening to the phone almost ring out. "Whhhhat time is it?" She asked, in a tone that suggested I'd woken her up not just from sleep but straight into a hangover. She's an amenable sort and in no time at all I convinced her that she should get to the pub pronto for some hair of the dog. It was a time for doing; with no regard for how that doing might affect others. Before leaving, I danced into the bathroom for a quick once over, hair - yep, coat - check (or indeed checked as is ...
