Advantages: A little less wrinkly!
Disadvantages: Need to use a lot
Unfortunately I missed all the hype about the new boots no 7 protect and perfect cream but heard it from a friend that it is the only cream that has been scientifically proven to restore the skins structure with prolonged use.
Well I was'nt going to miss out on that so I hot footed it down to boots to get myself some. I picked up the beauty serum had a quick scan over the literature on the box and what it claims to do. Now I'd imagined that it would'nt come cheap but I was'nt expecting to pay nearly £20 for a 30ml bottle but thought I'd give it a go if the claims are to be true.
When I first used the serum it felt really nice and silky on the skin and absorbed really well although it did'nt seem to go very far. You need quite a bit if you want to cover your whole face and your neck area.
After about the 2nd week I thought I could see a slight difference in the lines around my eyes, they did'nt seem as deep. Also the fine lines around my mouth seemed a lot less noticeable. This was using the serum twice a day after cleansing.
But I found the bottle going down rapidly and if I continued to use it twice a day as it recommends I would be needing to buy a new bottle after 4 weeks which would get to be very costly!
One of the downsides I found to this was that although I noticed a difference in the lines around my eyes it did'nt seem to keep the under eye skin very hydrated and I ended up still having to apply a moisturising eye cream half way through the day.
I am still undecided about this product and would love to try it long term to see if you can notice a 50% difference, but as it stands its too expensive to keep buying a bottle each month.
Summary: serum does'nt seem to have much coverage

- 25/10/09 I love this stuff myself but do think you need to wear a moisturiser on top of it. Also I only buy it when it's on sale at 3 for 2 - still expensive but it does help. Good review! |
