Advantages: easy to use & it works for us

Disadvantages: may cause a little dryness - not sure about some ingredients

I wish I'd realised the importance of cleansing my skin when I was much younger & have always encouraged my daughters to take care of theirs so they won't have as many wrinkles as me when they're my age?!

I've tried many types of cleansers over the past few years with varying results - some have been very drying to the face, some have been ineffective whilst others have been OK. Usually I'm of the opinion that the more you pay the better the product but in this case I disagree - this is a good little deep cleansing lotion.

The bottles I buy from Boots are 200ml & I usually pay £2.49 but look out for offers which are sometimes available.

The sturdy plastic bottle is as shown the photo & has a screw on/off lid which is easy to use. You just need to pour some of the clear liquid onto some cotton wool or make-up pad & gently smooth around the face but avoiding the eyes as it's quite a strong liquid.

The effectiveness of this deep cleanser is evident from what you find comes off on the pad - I was amazed at the grime, make-up & oil that was clear to see even after using an expensive make-up removing cream. It definitely works for sure!

On the bottle it states that it's anti-bacterial, contains natural fruit acids, is suitable for sensitive skin , has been dermatologically tested & is lanolin free.

The product contains tea tree & fruit acids but the other ingredients listed look a bit dubious to me -eg melaleuca alternifolia, disodium phosphate, butylene glycol etc?

It also contains alcohol which may account for the dryness which I sometimes feel on my face after use.

However, I must say that the lotion does seem to work for all 3 of us - it does seem to deep cleanse the face & neck & none of us have suffered any redness 'tight' skin after use.

summary
~
- good price for what you get.
- easy to use & no waste.
- OK smell.
- effectiveness is evident on the pad/ cotton wool when used.
- may cause a little dryness but this disappears as soon as you apply moisturiser.
- suitable for males & females.
- suitable for sensitive skin.

Summary: a good deep cleansing lotion at a reasonable price
