Advantages: Gentle, cheap
Disadvantages: None
Having very sensitive skin, I was looking in Boots for a gentle exfoliating skin wash of some kind. I came across Boots Skin Clear Deep Cleansing Wash. It's made especially for sensitive skin and doesn't block your pores. At 2.99 for 150ml, I thought I'd give it a try. To use, you wet your face and then apply a small amount of the scrub. You don't need much. Massage your face in small circular motions. You don't have to press hard. It's very creamy and the particles used for exfoliation are very small and gentle compared to normal exfoliating creams. It doesn't scratch your face and it doesn't hurt. The smell is quite mild and it's not particularly scented. To remove, you just rinse off with warm water. Removal is easy and you aren't left with big chunks in your hair around the side of your face (bit of a problem if you have long hair!). After washing, your face feels really clean and smooth. It definitely gets rid of any dead or dry skin. You aren't left with any feelings of tightness or dryness. In fact, it feels so good; it feels like you don't need to use an additional moisturiser. The cream contains fruit acids and Tee Tree Oil, which are supposed to encourage a healthy blemish free skin. I've been using it for a few days now and my skin looks clear and softer than before. It's been particularly good at keeping my face clean during the hot weather. Overall, I am very happy with the results. It's definitely gentler and kinder to sensitive skin. It is lanolin free and doesn't block your pores. If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend that you try this product as it will leave your skin looking and feeling great. It comes in a clear tube with a cap which you can stand in the shower.
