Advantages: Fun to use, refreshing, good size product for the money

Disadvantages: Not as deep clean as other washes on the market

I have used many of Boots' Tea Tree and Witch Hazel products now and on the whole have been impressed. They are regularly on 3 for 2 and instead of getting three of their brilliant night gel I decided to try a product from the range that I had not tried before.

The 'Foaming Face Wash' I picked costs £3.42 on it's own. When I puchased it a month or so ago the range was on 3 for 2, now I see the offer is 2 for £5. Even with out the offer I don't think this is a bad buy however, the bottle is larger than the bottles you usually buy of face wash at 150ml.

The bottle is clear with what appears to be a very thin green watery liquid inside. The directions state that you need to wet your face and then apply two amounts of foam to your face. Firsty I thought what 'amounts'? Secondly what foam? It's looks like green water! All becomes clear as there is a pump on the top of the bottle. Two pushes down on this leaves you with a handful of frothy bubbles. Magic!

The foam is incredibly light and it felt like there wasn't enough substance to it to $do any good. Maybe this is just psychological though, maybe it just doesn't have as much gum and thickening agents added as some other products. After massaging the foam all over my face, it did feel very clean, but I felt as though, the T zone part of my face didn't get as deeper clean as it would from a heavier product and still felt slightly greasy.

I did really like this product. The novely value in the foam itself makes it a fun product to use and although I don't think I'm going to use this as my primary face wash, it's very refershing and I'll keep the bottle in the bathroom. A lot of the exofoliating and 'deep clean' face washes sometimes leave the skin tight and a bit dry and I wouldn't use them once a day. This was would be good say to referesh your face in the evening for example, if you've already used a more intense treatment in the morning.

Summary: A good product, but there's better out there

I use the toner in this range and love it. I haven't tried this before though.
