Advantages: Nice smell, easy to use, works a little bit
Disadvantages: Doesn't tighten skin or pores
I absolutely love Time Delay products from Boots. I own so many different offerings from this range. I find the stuff as a rule to be brilliant and really economical for what they are.
This one I bought because of late I haven't been in the best of health and my skin has looked a little bit crummy to be honest. Not only would I not describe myself as radiant as my skin looks more than a little dull, I have bags under my eyes slightly and I have a few spots. I have put all this down to poor diet (I'm bulimic) and the fact I'm on lots of new medication which in truth has knocked me sideways! Feeling a little better now off I went to Boots to treat myself to a few new bits and bobs and at the time I had a £5.00 off voucher off a few brands (including this) and instantly it screamed BUY ME! So I did as this type of product sounded like just what the Doctor ordered!
The Packaging...
The tube comes in a light bronze/gold cardboard, oblong box. On the front in gold and white writing I'm told it's Boots, Time Delay, 'Skin Treatments', Radiance Booster which 'Brightens and tightens to instantly boost skin radiance'. At the bottom of the box there is like a small scribbled on gold circle and I'm told 'Skin looks younger every day'. One side of the box is blank and the other gives me a list of ingredients and contact details for Boots and the back of the box tells me a bit about the product, directions for use, warnings are given, I'm told to use it as often as I wish and to use before make up application if skin is dry or dehydrated and told it is Dermatologically tested, the size is stated (50ml) and finally the recycle symbol is displayed.
The tube is clear plastic with a gold flip top lid concealing a small hole situated at the bottom of it. All in gold writing I'm again told what it is and who it is by, on the back once again I'm told a bit about the product and directions for use, details for Boots are given and the size of the product and recycle symbol are displayed. I like all of the packaging as it contains enough information on it as to whether it will be suitable for my needs etc. I also like the tube being see-through so I can see when I need to repurchase (if desired).
A Bit About The Product According To The Information On The Back Of Box And The Tube...
Powerful targeted solutions to boost and revitalise skin.
Instantly boost the radiance of your skin with this blend of brightening and tightening ingredients.
This indulgent cream is infused with hyaluronic acid and light diffusing particles to promote firming looking features and help erase signs of fatigue. Perfect for giving that extra helping hand to skin that needs a boost or 'pick me up' and as a base for make-up to enhance it's luminous appearance.
Directions For Use....
Use on cleansed, toned skin. Smooth on with your fingertips and massage into the skin using soft sweeping movements over your face and neck. Apply make up immediately after use.
For an intensive beauty treatment use 2-3 time a week preferably in the evening. Apply a thick layer on face and neck and leave on for about 10-15 minutes, then remove excess with water.
My Experience Using The Product....
Using this cream is incredibly straight forward indeed. A little of the peach coloured liquid is all that is needed and I have used this on it's own, under make up and as an intensive treatment which I will talk you through in a minute!
The consistency of this is that of a lotion although it's called a cream as it isn't all that thick. It vanishes on touch with the skin and absorbs very quickly with no fuss and no needed to rub it in furiously. All you do is take about the size of a penny coin out of the tube (gentle squeeze required) and very gently distribute over the face (and neck if required). It absorbs and loses it's colour on contact with the skin and leaves a delicate smell of sweet fruits where you've applied it to and that smell completely vanishes in about a hour.
What you are left with is skin that has a very slight glow and skin look more luminous in a very healthy way. I don't know how this is achieved but it isn't achieved by grease and/or glitter it just looks incredibly natural. If I apply it to 'naked' skin it looks this way all day and removes easily with your usual make up removing routine and when I cleanse it away with a cotton wool pad or a make up remover wipe it doesn't seem apparent at all. Under make up it perks skin up slightly and you can I guess use it in place of your usual moisturiser, me I use it as well as and either way, in my case seems fine and not overly moisturised or gunky, sticky tight or anything.
With this on the skin it feels fresh and looks a little brighter. It isn't a fake tan and doesn't seem to contain colour as such, it just seems to hydrate the skin slightly, making wrinkles and laughter lines etc seem a little softer in appearance. It lightens up my bags and makes me look healthier than I really am lol.
I have used this as a face mask and although I've left it on the maximum time recommended on to a clean face and it's comfortable to use I haven't seen any dramatic changes. In fact I haven't noticed any change to my skin so me, I'll continue to use this as a daily part of my routine and as an when required instead.
Do I recommend It?....
Difficult question! I find it works slightly for me in a very natural way but at the usual price of £6.84 no I wouldn't as I don't think the results are all that amazing but I paid £1.84 and it is worth that for sure. It is very simple to use and is a great size and even at full price you'll find even if your heavy handed (like me and use loads) it still lasts a really good while! If I was you I'd try this when it's on offer to see if your think it's worth shelling out quite alot of money for to be honest!
Summary: Try on offer if interested!
