Advantages: soft skin

Disadvantages: not moisturising enough

I bought this product many months ago at the same time that I bought Boots Vitamin E cleanser. I thought the cleanser was quite good for the price, so when my favourite Nivea visage moisturiser ran out I began using this.

~About the product~

This is a moisturiser made by Boots which is suitable for all skin types. It contains Vitamin E, which is an ingredient often found in beauty products as it is known for being good for the skin. It states on the bottle that the Vitamin E helps to boost the skin's moisture content.

~Packaging~

The moisture lotion comes in virtually the same bottle as the cleanser - very plain and simple, being almost completely white, apart from a large letter 'E' which is orange, so gives a splash of colour. It has a flip top cap through which you dispense the product.

~Using it~

The moisturiser is quite a thin, runny consistency, so you need to be careful not to dispense too much at once, otherwise you will end up with more lotion on your hands than you can use. It absorbs easily into the skin, but it does feel quite greasy as you rub it in.

~Results~

Once it has actually absorbed into the skin, the greasy feeling disappears almost immediately. It actually gives my skin a nice soft feeling, and it does feel slightly moisturised. I have quite dry skin though, and on a bad day, when my skin is particularly dry, I find that this is just not enough to moisturise the dry patches and I have had to buy a tube of my normal Nivea after all. I also find that when using this moisturiser, I need to apply it a few times during the day.

~Price~

At only 79p for a 150ml bottle, it is fairly cheap, but unfortunately in many cases you get what you pay for, and I would rather spend a few pounds extra on something that I know works.

~Conclusion~

Needless to say, it is unlikely that I will be buying this again. Although it left my skin feeling soft, I thought it was too runny and thin for my dry skin, which I think requires a bit more of a heavy duty moisturiser!
